CONTINUING: WORDS WE DON'T UNDERSTAND*
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
There are just two more words that I want to touch on in this short series. 1. SANCTIFICATION: which means being set aside by God, or becoming more and more like Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit.
As we dare to allow God to actually take over the living of our daily lives His Spirit will actually change us from the old creatures that we have always been into new creatures that begin to see and feel the power and the work of God through us. This is when we begin to feel with new hearts and see with new eyes the things that this world without Christ just cannot understand. Romans 5:2 ; 15:16 speak of this sanctification as anew reborn life that is only understood by those who have completely committed themselves to Christ Jesus.
This sanctification process sets us apart from the world around us by giving us access to the grace of God through our faith in Jesus. It isn't only God's Spirit that sets us apart from this world, but it is the world around us that will automatically start to reject us because of the nature of sin in the world. God and sin reject one another because they are polar opposites. The world cannot stand us because God sees us as being put into a higher place of privilege. The world cannot stand being in less than first place, and so the jealousy comes to the surface at all times. That is the thing about sin...it cannot leave well enough alone, and because of that where ever there is good being done it will attack it without provocation. That is why we are seeing so much of that behavior in the world today.
That is the reason that Christ's sacrifice for sin is so important, because without that sacrifice God will simply not deal with it. 2. GLORIFICATION is the last word I want to deal with which really deals with the ultimate state of a believer after our death in this world; it is when we become the most like Christ is. Romans 8:18, 19, 30. Paul speaks of it in verse 18 of Romans 8 by stating he considers the present state of our suffering in this world to be nothing at all compared to the glory that will be revealed to us. Even the creation of this world all around us is awaiting a rebirth, and a new life that is found through the will of God. I really don't think that we can be happy in life without that unity between us and our creator. I believe that everything that we see around us within this world that we see as beauty in this life also sounds out that belief in it's existence. I do not think that we understand much of what God has said to us because our minds just cannot comprehend or understand even the most simple things from God...that is why we have been given faith as a gift to accompany our will to believe. I pray that you will stay in Christ as He has stayed within you faithfully...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
