BEFORE WE GO TOO FAR

There is a tremendous need for  Christians to take a step back and look at the kinds of testimonies we are giving to the world around us.  We are getting ready to make a number of judgments with regard to our political and social leadership in this country, and as we do there are all kinds of things that are brought to light about them...some true and others which are blatant lies, but we still have to make a cal on them.  It makes us take a step back to see the person more clearly.  When we are giving any kind of testimony to a truth from God others then begin to look more closely at our own lives with regard to what is truth from lie as well...and I believe they should.

It is actually a very simple thing to see if someone really believes what they are saying or if it is just a ploy to make themselves look and feel better about who they are.  I want to encourage people to give a testimony about Christ, but I want it to be real experience they have had with God, and not a hear say story that makes their point.  People can tell if something does not fit in someones life just by the way they conduct themselves day by day.  People know who we are by the general makeup of our lives.
 Romans 1 21-22
" Because that when they knew God they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened  professing themselves to be wise; they became fools"   That is easily what happens to anyone who tries to play Church.  That passage of scripture was speaking about those who made the decision to form the image of a golden calf at the base of the mountain that Moses was on as he received the commandments from God's own finger.  They would wait on God no longer and so they took worship into their own hands.

I believe that our experiences with God in worship should make an impact on our lives every time we get into that worship.  I am not satisfied with simply being a part of Church service anymore without coming into contact with my Lord at some point in worship otherwise I feel as though I am worshipping God in vain, and in doing that harming any testimony I may give of His working within my life to the community around me.

It is time before we go too far...that we find a reasonable place of truth in our lives about what our relationship is with God, and if that relationship is not what it should be we need to correct it before we continue to say much of anything to someone around us about it.  There are many who are giving false testimony about their lives just by what they claim verses what they do in life.  I fear that for those people it is time to stop and take a closer look at the truth of their testimony in Christ...they need to make it right before they make a fool out of themselves.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
