WHO ARE YOU REALLY?
Greetings in Jesus:
Have you ever had anyone ask you...Who are you really? Perhaps it is time that we posed that question to ourselves before the world brings it up to us. Today this world is no longer taking our word for the goodness of God, or for the concept that we preach that says God loves them. This world is still looking hard and long at our witness to Jesus Christ as Lord, but I don't think the world is buying what we have been selling.
Interestingly the truth never changes...it remains the same no matter who it is that wheels it's power. We can be very right in our assessment of sin in this world and yet just as sin filled as the world is unless we live out what we proclaim to be true. Romans 3:1-8 says
" What advantage then is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? Much in every way! first of all they have been entrusted with the very words of God. What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?...not at all! as it is written "Let God be true and every man a liar". Paul argued that they were actually starting to believe that if man's unrighteousness brought out God's righteousness more clearly that somehow God was unjust to bring judgment on the world!
That sounds very much like the kind of double talk that we here spoken today as we try so desperately to make good evil and evil good. The world would argue as Paul indicated that those who preach and teach such things will find their condemnation well deserved. We live in a time when in the eyes of this world all things are fair and just as long as we don't get caught. For the few with stolen power and position there seems to be no law in this world...but that is all smoke and mirrors because truth and righteousness does still exist. Judgment will still come, and Christ will still return in what time the Father has determined, and there is very little that we or this world can say or do about it.
Even though we all know this deep within our hearts we will still try to control that part of our human mind that says " I want to be in charge" We are not meant to be in charge, but we are meant to be loved and to be in love with God. The entire process of this life is meant to help us to make one decision about the life that we have been already given both now and for all eternity...how are we choosing to spend it, and with whom does our heart and the intent of our hearts lay? The older I get the more I can see that we are not going to save many because this world is so corrupt that most people will walk that simple very open pathway that leads to Hell without ever looking right or left, and without ever paying any attention to the more difficult pathway that will lead directly to God. I pray that you have been challenged this week as we all prepare again to praise and worship our Father. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
