THE POWER OF SANCTIFICATION
As always I give you greetings in Jesus:
Romans 8:1-39 shows us the beginnings of the power of God's Holy Spirit in us when He begins to set us aside for special purposes as we have given ourselves completely to Him. In that statement is the core of all of this we are dealing with ( it starts when we give ourselves away to God). In the last few chapters we have discussed the idea of dying to sin has come up many times, and what that really means is that we have personally come to the point where we realize that we cannot do the Christian life on our own and within our own terms. We must eventually surrender completely to Christ if we are to go any further in our relationship with God. In the constant struggle we have to maintain our relationship with the Father we are finding this world makes it even more difficult with the direction society is taking.
Our lives are constantly under this pressure to conform to the dictates of this world. We are told that we must conform to laws made by the whims and deceit of men's hearts yet God continues to call us closer to Him, and in doing that we are naturally separated from this world, and from the social dictates that have become the wickedness of men. We must realize that this world is no longer the home that we wish it could be. We are being changed into new creatures that no longer fit into the addictions and habits of men. Our allegiance can no longer support the whims of men's hearts, and we will find that we will long to be with God more every day as this world winds quickly winds into a deeper and deeper decay.
Our Father is coming to take us from this place, and restore us in His Kingdom just as He has promised, and we need to be watching for that return any day now. We know that as God sets us aside or sanctifies us He will be at the same time allowing this world to sink ever deeper into it's own sin. We cannot prevent the world from doing this with our prayers because it is a part of God's plan for this world. This world has been made to be a prison and a final judgment will be made on those who remain here. I am not trying to follow the prophecies of what will happen when...that's all good, but my main concern and yours as well should be if we are in a good place with our relationship with God through our love with Jesus Christ. I am confident of my salvation because of the daily relationship that I have with God...I pray that you are as well. It is my prayer " May you richly bless God through your life in Christ.
