HOW DOES THIS ALL RELATE TO ACTS STUDY?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
As we get into the study of the church it becomes impossible for us to know the true intent of God's heart about why Jesus established it without also looking at what our individual responses should be to it. That individual response to the message of the good news that Christ has brought to us should be that our very core of life gets changed. One of the first things we should be concentrating on is the development of our own relationship with God instead of seeking to stuff ourselves with as many answers as we can get from the bible to impress each other with. Matthew 24-25 study just emphasises or need to continue our quest for that personal relationship above our need to know something.
It is for that reason that I have decided that as we go through the Acts study from time to time I want to stop and also take a moment to study some of the personal things that we need to be aware of that Paul had to deal with concerning the Gentiles he was sent to through Jesus Christ. We have confused much of our walk with God by adopting these creeds and doctrines that have worked negatively to separate us from from one another; and it is time that we strip away all that stands between us and our relationship with God by actually dealing with the unity between us. We will start this next week with the various missions of the church brought about by Acts 15-16 and then look at Romans 1:18-23, and Romans 1:24--32 which deals with self and the subject of Willful ignorance & Devine abandonment.
I pray that those of you who come to study with me will get a spiritual charge from the studies we make in this as the year continues. There is much for us to learn personally in this study that will help in our relationship with the Father. I think truly in my heart that it is that which we need so desperately today...not knowledge for the sake of knowledge, but that which grows Spiritual Wisdom within us to cleave to God even more and let go of this world. This is a more difficult year than anyone may have realize at it's start, and I just want for you to be prepared to take a personal stand for Christ...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
