CONTROLLING THE OUT PUT
Greetings in Christ:
As I have been reading in the book of Acts 16:-17 I began to realize just how hard it must have been for the Apostles to deal with the out put of the intent of their hearts as a men to the world around them. Human nature has certainly not changed over these thousands of years since Christ taught. When I think about our personal duty to control what comes out of our mouth and what is formulated in the inner parts of our hearts I also realize that it is that control that matters the most to us.
When we think about it what is truly of nature is never either good or bad, but it is the way mankind manipulates these things that make them either good or bad. In realizing that simple truth it is what we do with the information we receive inside of us and then spite back out into the world around us that so often creates the good or the bad in our lives. The only things that are really evil around us has to do with the various reactions that others are having to what is around them...we can have a definite influence on that, but it really takes a lot of work on our part.
In the mission fields that Paul, Silas, and Timothy traveled there was a tremendous amount of rejection by the world, but it was never rejection from nature, but from people who created circumstances that became difficult. When we see negative things going on around us we need to identify the source of the evil we see and feel. It is amazing to me how easily they were able to identify the sources of the problems and correct them. I don't believe that in today's world evil and negative things have any more creative ability than they did in the time of Christ, but I do believe that men have become much more creative in their ability to use these things against one another. I believe that in almost every case we do not find more evil in the world, but we find more men turning toward evil in the world just as men turned toward evil to create the situation in Sodom and Gomorrah. If we can create the hate and the atmosphere that destroys we can also turn back to a Godly attitude that pleases and builds up life.
We already know inherently how to go about doing that because it has been created within us. The answer of course is God, but the problem is that we cannot get to God on our own, we cannot control or manipulate God in the same ways that we do with one another. The only way we can find God is through His mercy, grace, and Holy Spirit...none of which is accessible without first accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior. If you want to change your negative circumstances you must first come to Christ. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
