BURIED ISSUES
Buried items within our lives can make it hard to get to the truth about why we do what it is we do. The unpleasant things that we may have encountered many times get buried so deeply within our hearts that we cannot recognize them for what they are...sin problems that need God's forgiveness. If we deny them or cannot recognize them for what they to us we can never deal with them in the intent of our hearts, and they can never be consciously exposed to allowing the Holy Spirit to heal us or our hearts intent toward them.
Christ has told us that we need to come to Him just as small children...innocent, and in the most simple ways we can by being completely honest with God in our prayer, and completely obedient to God in our lives. By having these buried issues within our lives it puts things between us and God that makes the adoption process that God has started through His plan of Salvation so much more difficult. The enemy uses these things to continue to divide us from a complete relationship with the Father. The enemy manipulates these things in us to produce guilt and a tendency to continue to try to hide from God in the same way that Adam did.
We should come to God through our faith so that we can reason these things out by understanding the truth. It is the only way that we can find our pathway back to Him, and back to Christ's purpose for His church in these later times. This does not mean that we won't still struggle with some of the same afflictions we are commanded to continue to give witness to one another of the truth; even as we are working out these things for our own lives. In our present condition, we find we can begin to understand the deep need for God to take control out of our hands when it comes to preparing the intent of our hearts. God knows that whatever power or principality it is that we allow to control the intent of our heart will also be the final answer that we give to God on our choice as to how we will live out our eternity. We will never have control of that in the way we may think we have it...it comes down to the simple choice we make as to who we choose to serve.
It is that great illusion that is fostered by this world about our control over much of anything that we need to get straight...it is not in our hands, but we are ultimately responsible for what comes from our hearts in response to the world around us. The question is will we allow ourselves to continue to be fooled by the lies and deceit of this world; or will we choose to get some help in making the output we give into this world count for our true Heavenly Father? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
