SPEECH and WISDOM
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Our speech is among the most difficult things we have in our physical body to control...it is right next to our thoughts. These things are very easily manipulated by the things of this world{namely Satan} who motivates us to say what ever we are feeling at the time.
We know that when we allow the physical side of our thought process to govern what we say it often proves to become bitter, and is filled with various things like envy and strife. Our lives live in a situation where selfish ambitions are mostly in control of what we think and do because we can easily be manipulated by the earthly concerns and desires we have.
It becomes a constant battle in life for us to control this tendency, and left on our own for very long we drown in the self pity and failure that our lack of perfection brings to win over this enemy. We need God and His wisdom more than ever before because with God comes mercy, love for others and peace. God brings the wisdom of consideration for others and a submission to Him that is critical if we are ever going to be sincere and think impartially as God does unto righteousness. Luke 9:23 Jesus tells us " If anyone would come after me let him take up his cross and follow after me". We all have our own crosses that become burdens that we must carry to Christ and lay them down there. This world will never understand this 1 Corinthians 1:18 because delights in destroying the wisdom of those who consider themselves wise Isaiah 29:14.
One of the things that we hold onto so tightly is our human wisdom and yet we just do not realize the depth of God. We do not think as God thinks or act as God acts, and that is a part of our transformation that must be completed in order for us to fit into His kingdom. It is God's perspective that we all should be prepared to enter into the Kingdom; and that Kingdom is perfect...not flawed in the ways this world is flawed. There will be no wiggle room for failures or flaws of character in this Kingdom. There will be no discontent or hidden agendas to deal with. We must be perfected by the change within us to fit into that Kingdom. We cannot stand afar off and wonder if we can get along with someone else's personality or agree to disagree on any given subject for there will be no room for disunity. We must be transformed before we can enter into the Kingdom. We must become perfected through the power of God's Spirit and the transformation of our character, and that means first of all dying to self and our natural need for control. In order for us to gain wisdom Spiritual we must live spiritually...we must admit to our weaknesses; and that is a test for us. It is only through admitting that we cannot do it alone that God will become our strength. My life and yours are tied into this need for death to the influence of what we have lived this life under; which is the influence of sin. I pray that we can begin to gain the wisdom needed to see what we must do in Christ...to let Him have the controls, and take the lead as we follow His every step. It is the only way...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
