JESUS PROPHECIES OF THE LAST DAYS
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
We tend to constantly look to those who claim to be prophets of one sort or another to give us information about end times. Most of what they deal with is in Revelations, and it has become the major source for end times prophecy. I tend to take only those things that Jesus said about the end times as seriously something to adhere to. There are really two types of prophecy actually that we can look at The Last Days and The second coming of Christ. In these we have New testament prophecy from Christ, Old testament references, and then other New testament references about the end times. In Mark 13:1-23 Jesus speaks very plainly about what we should expect in the last days. Basically it deals with the attitudes of people changing from family to a disorder that turns even family members against one another. I personally believe Jesus was speaking specifically about the days we are going through right now. There are Old testament references to this in places like Daniel 9:26,27 and other New testament references like found in John 15:21. Jesus also spoke about the last days in Matthew 24:1-28 where He gave a very clear picture of the kinds of trauma we would see in this world. There are Old Testament references in Daniel 11:31 and Joel 2:2 while other references include Revelation 11:2 and
1 Timothy 4:1,2. This same message is recorded in John 21:5-24 and it is always good to look at all of these accounts to get a complete picture of what Christ said about the subject.
The other kind of prophecy deals with Christ's second coming. Jesus tells us to be watchful in Mark 13:24-27. There is an Old Testament reference found in Isaiah 13:6-10, and again in Revelation 6;12. We can find other references in Jesus own words about His second coming in Luke 21:25-28 with Old Testament references in Ezekiel 32:7, another reference in Mark 14:62. One of my favorites is in Matthew 24:29-31 with the Old Testament reference found in Daniel 7:13,14, and yet another reference found in
1 Thessalonians 4:16.
These prophecies are no joke, and we need to take them seriously, but not so much from everyone out there who are trying to predict things by the signs they see. We can see things coming but we can never really know the time they will arrive. All of us need desperately to prepare now for the return of Christ by watching these things that are going on all around us. Please take the time to go through these scriptures I have given you here to know the truth about what Jesus said. In all of this we simply need to need to get as close to Christ as we can...I pray this will help you to both witness to someone else and bring you to a closer understanding of God's truth...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
