CHANGE

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

I heard someone say once that "what you are supposed to do about something you don't like is to change it; if you can't change it then change your mind about the way you feel about it."

Change in this world is going to happen no matter how we may want things to stay the same.  My life changes every day now physically to the point that I cannot count on doing the same things tomorrow that I can do today.  Our lives will change daily with the dramatic twists and turns of life...and yet isn't that the way it is designed to be?  When we start our journey with Jesus Christ our Lord the tremendous change that comes over us when we realize we are forgiven is much the same as a great weight that is lifted from us.
We see a grand amount of change in the ways we feel and think about some of the things that we at one time took pleasure in; now there is a cloud that hangs over the things that would not please God that we cannot completely understand.  Just as it says in Ecclesiastes 3:3 "there is a time for everything under Heaven."  The time for change in your life is now, and the opportunity is here and now.  It does not matter what the struggle is in your life that has continued to keep you from that closer walk with God; it can be dealt with quickly and simply by your surrender to His will for your life.

You already know that this blog is for Christians...that means that every word of salvation I speak of I speak to you as a Christian.  It is time that you get off of pause and get in the real game and race of living out God's principals in your life.  It is time for a change...a permanent change in the way that you live out your life.  I can tell that for the great majority of you playing church every week is not working...how much does that really help you?  For those who feel good about themselves and comfortable in their routine of church and praising God for 2 hours every Sunday, but wonder why you can't seem to grow spiritually...I have an answer for you.  Start living out what you know in Christ; take to heart the things that you sing about and hear about the gospel of Christ. Change your life to meet the things that God tells you to do, and surrender to His will.

Luke 5:36-39 compares the old with the new in living, and there is really a marked difference in the two.  We cannot put in the new spirit of God if we are not also willing to change the container it lives in.  That new spirit within us will expand to the point that it will tear us apart unless we change.  It is my prayer that you will consider what I have said here today my friends.  We are close to the weekend again and so we have the chance to deal with self ...I pray that you will.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
