CIRCULAR REASONING

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

Have you ever meant someone who tried to prove the truth of the Bible by simply quoting from the Bible?  For the most part that is the way that most Christians are taught in our churches to witness and prove that the bible is the true word of God, and yet this world does not think in those terms.

Most of those in this world who show interest God are shown that through the lives of those who claim to know God...not by what they say as much as what they do that proves out the same words that they claim to believe in.  That is not to say that the word of God does not prove itself to be true because if someone wants to look into the prophesies, and Truth they find for our human condition in the Bible it will definitely prove itself to be true and to be the Word of God.  Most people will not do that until we prove to be true first.

I have found that by being the person that God has created us to be is the very first start, and that does not mean the person we think we are; but who we come to realize that God has created us to be.  I think we can all say that we have not yet reached the point where we actually know who God has created us to be because we have not yet allowed Him full control of our transformation.  The world around us looks for truth, and has gotten nothing but lies and shell games...if we want them to believe in our faith in God we must make sure that we don't show people the same things that the world does.

It is really very simple; just like the real Gospel of Christ is really simple.  We need to present the word of God through every part of our lives...we need to simply live true lives of love, commitment, loyalty and honesty about who we are as people.  That includes not hiding faults or making others think that they will get rid of all of their issues by coming to Christ.  What this world needs to see is that we will be there with them through Christ in our lives to help them deal with the pain of this world.  They see that first by the ways we treat each other, and if they see truth there in what we do they will be drawn to us through the power of the Holy Spirit.  It then becomes our duty and our calling to mentor them by using the gifts that God has given to us to help them understand the deeper parts of who we are and what we do.  God draws them and we minister to them...not on our own but through the guidance and the power of God working through us.  Quite frankly that is the only ways we can reach those in this world today.

This world already talks in circles when it  attempts to explain something to us, but we need to bring out the simple truth...God simple , and not church complicated.  The question is can we become mentors in this age?  The answer is YES, but only if we can be truthful , honest, and in love with one another first.  I pray that you will take the time to think in these terms today.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
