REAL LOVE: WHAT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY? #5
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
There is such a huge question mark for Christians today about what our responsibility is toward love.
I would like nothing greater than to answer that for you today. The problem is " Will you receive it"? I hate to ask such a thing, and yet today people are so busy doing for God in the church that they forget how to allow God to do the work through them. The biggest difference is in who is in charge. Are you trying to hold onto God, or are you allowing Him to hold you in His arms? The perception of what is going on between us and God has gotten all messed up somehow in that we think through the help and wisdom of this world that we somehow need to be in charge in order for anything to get done, and that is a very lopsided point of view. God could more easily do everything on His own without our involvement at all, but then we would neither have been included in the process nor have learned anything that helped us to grow in spiritual wisdom.
SO WHAT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY IN ALL OF THIS?
Our first responsibility is to love God with all of our heart, mind, and soul, and then to love others as we love ourselves. That is not easy when we have isolated ourselves from one another purposefully to declare our brand of Christ as true and all others as imitations. We cannot stand with our arms crossed against one another and ever hope to be able to hug one another with open arms in the way Christ commanded us to, and the sad part of that is that we do not realize that until we can openly accept all of God's Children we ourselves cannot be accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven?
One of the things I began to understand is that it is not my job to judge someone else's walk with Christ, but it is my job; as much as I can to openly fellowship with as many as I can while I keep myself centered in Christ not wavering from His direct teachings for my life. As much as we want to be able to stay in the center of God's will we will never be able to do so in isolation from one another.
This leads me to ask the question of all Christians just how long do you think you can keep yourself ready from the attack that is all around you all by yourself? You see we were never meant to be alone in these killing fields. We have been set here without any kind of protection from a world of hate except for Christ and each other. Without our Spiritual family; which is the true church, we not only do not have a chance to make it through the ensuing battle; unless we can break down these barriers between us not many of us will make it to Heaven either. Jesus has already warned us of deceiving ourselves by good works to think that we are just fine, but that is not true unless we are truly brothers and sisters in Christ's Spirit. Just because we may do something in the name of Jesus does not mean that we have been in Jesus, and it way past time we started to figure that out. I pray that you are among those who have. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
THE UNWORTHY SERVANT
