IDENTIFY YOUR SOURCE OF LIGHT Psalm 36:9

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:

There are many people today walking around with no real understanding of their faith in God other than they should have faith, love, and trust because God has first loved us.

Some of the most beautiful psalms from King David were written when he was in the worst conditions imaginable. Between being hunted by Solomon, and hiding in caves he wrote words like we find in Psalms 36:5-9 " Your love O Lord reaches to the Heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord you preserve both man and beast how priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings, they feast on the abundance of your house, you give them drink from the river of your delights for  with you is the fountain of life, in your light we see light."

David found his source of light from God alone as he pictured these vivid images  The fountain of life gives r3efreshing images of a sense of fresh cleansing water that gives life to a thirsty spirit.  He did not get these images in his heart from hearing about the Lord, or in reading about  God's power for his life.  David got these images and this knowledge from the actual battles that God had saved his life from.  You see he lived the life of a warrior, and he knew both the values of strength and the failures of weakness. He knew exactly where to go to find his source of light, and I dare say he spent a good part of his time in prayer for what he should do next.  David had no real plan except to do what God had told him to do for he had no plan to conquer anything on his own.  The one thing that I find in the Christian's life today that is missing almost always is a genuine leading of God's Spirit in their daily walk.  Many time not only do people not know where their source of light is coming from; they have never really begun to seek after it with any real genuine feeling of it being the life and death struggle it really is for us.

For some reason, we don't seem to get the fact that every breath we draw is based upon God's will for us to continue to seek after Him as our sense of right and wrong; good, and bad. Most people are not serious about their faith enough to test God's word to see that it is true.  You see if you know rather than just guessing. His power and His commitment to you somehow life changes.  Real knowledge and a real relationship with Jesus Christ is totally different than having a second-hand knowledge of it related to you by someone who may or may not know what they are saying to you. Do not take anyone's word for who God is to your life, but find out for yourself that what He says to you is real and true.  We have come into the last days where these are very important things to give our attention to Do not be deceived. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
