REAL LOVE: WHAT IS IT'S GOAL? #4
GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS:
When it comes to having a purpose in love what is our goal?
I can remember when I was much younger than I am now I had goals I wanted to reach in my life that were inconsistent with life around me. I had two options for me that had to be addressed. I could either spend my life in pursuit of degrees so that others would respect me in this world, or I could begin to work on the person that I was through the power of God's living Spirit within me to change the man I was into the man that God had created me to be. I had the choice to play the games of this world to get respect and to be someone that others would listen to, or I needed to tear down what I thought I was and allow God to begin again with my life to change me into a new creature altogether, and I chose the later. One of the first things that needed to happen is God needed to humble me and take away the things I had clung to in my life. When it comes to finding out what our goal is in life there many different things that we go through as individuals, and one of those things is to get out of God's way in His efforts to create within us the elements we need to discover who we are as people.
One of my first steps was not achieved until I found myself in my 50's. Until that point, I had gotten pretty good at faking my way through Christian circles, and I am sure like many of you today who may be teaching or even preaching the word of God effectively there is still something inside of you that seems to be held back from God doing His full will in your life. I can tell you it all starts with you completely humbling yourself before God and by allowing Him to tear away from you all that you have built up on your own, and then letting the Spirit of God start once again to rebuild your life in His image. As silly and wasteful as that may seem to your mind on a physical basis it is the only way to reach your goals in Christ Jesus...He has to be in complete charge of everything that you do in this life before you will be ready for the work you have been made for

As much as we secretly want it; we are not the ones in charge of who we become. It is the powers and principalities that surround us each day that are unseen that control more of what we are than we ever would think. The moment you start to think "no one controls me" it is the moment you are the most out of control. The idea of humbling yourself before God in a true way will be the hardest thing you will ever do because in the next heartbeat you will have tried to take control back from Him without even realizing it. Let me ask you if you have ever prayed for God to take something from you; a burden or a worry that you think you have laid down at the foot of the cross only to find that it has followed you home? That is because you picked it back up and brought it home with you. You never left it there for God to deal with. You see God's goal in loving you is to change you so that you might actually fit into the Kingdom of Heaven because no one will fit unless we are transformed and changed in attitude and desire of the heart. Our goal then is to find a way to humble ourselves enough for God to do His work in us now. We were created in God's image first as spirit form and that is the form that God is coming to receive us in. It will not be what we are expecting, but so much greater than we could ever understand or think of. What is your goal in your love for God? May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
THE UNWORTHY SERVANT
