WHAT IS FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT TO YOU?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
What does fruit look like?
One thing that I am sure of is that it comes in many different shapes and forms, tastes and smells. There are times when fruit may be so different it does not remind us of fruit at all. When we can't tell what fruit looks like we can't make a good judgment about if it is good or bad.

Why would we send anyone out to harvest God's field when we don't know what the product we are harvesting looks like?
That question and many others have come to my mind as I have begun to look at God's request of us to be out in the field working. I am beginning to find out that in some cases I may not know what I am doing in caring for or cultivating the very things that God' wants to harvest from those that we are sent to work with.
FRUIT comes in many different forms, and it starts with the kinds of seeds we plant. It is common knowledge that we will not be able to grow strawberries with watermelon seeds, but for the most part, if we are not spiritually grown enough to understand that we are bound to make mistakes in our duties to cultivate, water and care for the patch of ground we have been assigned.
It is right then for God to ask us from time to time if we know what those seeds are that we are spreading? It might be safe to say that some of us don't know a pumpkin seed from any other seed when we see it in that form, but when it comes to what we plant and try to grow in others spiritually we must be careful that we don't just throw seeds we have been given in any direction because they are not all the same., and the chances are unless we are more careful the crop we going to be sent to harvest later may be kind of scary.
The real truth is that it is God's Holy Spirit that should have total control over what we plant, and of the schedule of things to be done in helping to allow that seed to grow into a mature person who is capable of bearing their own fruit for the cause of Christ. That is also the great secret in that we can really do nothing on our own since it is the Spirit's fruit that we allow Him to cultivate through us...so what is our purpose here? It is to be God's servants and to recognize God for who He is. You see God could have done this whole thing without us just as easily, but because of His love for us and His desire to train us and bring us into being a mature child in His Kingdom, He allows us to be a part of it all. The thing is that we often try to do things on our own anyway; not waiting for God's Spirit within us before we act, and that alone can create plenty of problems. That is some of what I want to take the time to discuss this next few blogs. Hopefully, we will be able to uncover some of the problems that we are dealing with in our own lives that have been causing issues in our witness and in our growth. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
