REMEMBER WHERE YOUR LIFE IS
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
The one thing that I can say that has helped me from being completely choked out by this world is that my life is no longer centered here. The true life that I now live is eternal, and not at all connected to the dying and temporary world around me. It all lays in my understanding of the regeneration of Jesus Christ and what it meant for me when He rose from the dead and ascended into the Kingdom where He now sits on the right-hand side of God the Father. When I start to think about my life in these terms I am drawn further into the concept of really living in the Holy Spirit on a day to day basis, just as an ideal, but as a practical everyday way of life.
I want to share with you a few suggestions that will help you to live in that fullness of God's Spirit:
1. You should be dead to self and sin and to all personal and selfish desires, and be alive through Jesus Christ Romans 6:11. Remember that you have exchanged your life with all of it;s sin, frustrations, and defeats for a victorious life in Christ. 2. Christ does not just dwell in you partly, but in the fullness of His deity and in Christ you have been made complete. Colossians 2:9-10. Just think about that...the one who claims the power of Heaven and Earth dwells within you right now! This is why Paul said " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13.
No matter what the road looks like we are on right now we know that we have the eternal and complete strength and wisdom when we turn to Christ within us.
3. In order for us to live victoriously in Christ we may have to change some of the things we are doing; like the ways, we pray for instance.
Instead of praying "What can I do for you Christ", or "God use me to do this or that for you" we need to realize that we belong completely to Jesus Christ without reservation we are dead to ourselves and hidden in the life of Jesus Christ, and we need to seek to abide in Him 1 John 2:6. So what is involved in abiding in Christ John 15:10 "If you keep my commandments you will abide in my love". To keep His commandments is to obey. A Spirit-filled life should be one which is natural and effortless because we are not fighting for control. The entire process of our life in Christ has nothing to do with our ability, but our total and complete surrender to God's will within us. This one change in our way of seeking after Christ that will cause a real and dramatic change in our Spiritual Warfare. <ay you richly bless God through your life in Him.
