PEACE AT ALL COSTS

GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS OUR LORD:


 For quite a number of years now I have heard people say "LORD SEND US A REVIVAL"
  and yet in most all of that fervor, I have yet to hear anyone say "AND HERE IS HOW WE WILL DO IT!"  The truth is that almost as quickly as someone might say they want a Revival they start to understand what it will take to have one.  IT WILL TAKE PERSECUTION.

  When Jesus spoke the words in His Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:4 " Blessed are those that mourn for they shall be comforted"  hardly anyone thinks of what it will take for men and women to actually make a commitment to Jesus Christ on any kind of long-term basis.  It is not until we are ready to declare to this world that no matter what the world does to us "we and our house will serve the Lord" then stand firm for the onslaught of persecution headed our way.  I feel very strongly that until Christians who are worth their salt will stand and begin to get radical about their faith in Christ we will never see any kind of true Revival in this country, and when we do take that stand is when this world will really turn on us.

Jesus has given us the Holy Spirit for a very specific reason, and that reason is to be our comforter during times of persecution, trial, and difficulty.  Jesus told us "My peace I give, not as this world gives you peace"  The peace of Christ is meant to be completely different, and all during the time that this world cries "Give us Peace at all costs" this world will never be able to know peace because it will never listen to God's Word.

  I am convinced that a revival will never come without there first being a prunning of God's people from both inside the church, and outside of the church.  In other words, I feel that God will have to shake us up and take away some of what has been distracting us from actually hearing what He has been trying to tells us for some time.  For those who cry for Peace at all costs; there can be no peace when there is always someone trying to take from anyone they can because of a craving for power.
  We will never be free from war and hate until the killing stops. There can be no peace until we wake from the grave of sin that we have allowed ourselves to be buried in and begin to understand why we mourn.  Those who belong too God will continue to be comforted by the power of God's Spirit for He is the comforter that has been promised, but the hate and the war that now rages in this world will be forced to end in a final judgment.  There will ultimately be peace at all costs, and the victor will be those who have laid down their lives already for Jesus Christ.  May you richlly bless God through your life in Him.
