Three ways of prayer that get God's attention

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

There are 3 ways of prayer that get God's Heart
 Conversation.
 Meditation.
 Study.
Instead of a grocery list of things mentioned that we feel we need in our lives what God needs is for us to just sit down as Father and child and talk for a while, and that takes so much more than listing our concerns and needs.  It takes a conversation where we not only love God, respect God and seek after  God, but we listen to what He wants to say in return to us. Very few times in our churches have I heard anything about the need for meditation or listening for God's voice to our heart.  It is becoming more difficult all the time to keep the noise of this world out of our heads long enough to hear God speaking to us so we must plan for and implement time to set aside for getting alone with the Lord so as not to be distracted.

When was the last time that God was able to touch your heart when you just alone with His word? When we consider the most important part of our reason for being alive right now is to make our choice about accepting God Good News for us of Salvation I think that we should spend a good quantity of our time in developing that relationship.

The basic principals of our Christian growth experience deal  with Bible Study, prayer, fellowship with others of like precious faith, and our witness given to this world of our faith in and love for Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  These things have not changes from the beginning of the church, and still we tend not to use them to develop our relationship with the Father.  It is hard for me to understand why that is?  I always hear talk from Christians about why we can't seem to make any head way in the American churches toward feeling the power of God in our lives?  What I have found that also impacts our ability to become strong in Christ is the fact that we have never really been persecuted to the point of having to invest anything in our faith.  It is that investment that we personally make in our faith and trust in God to use us in what ever ways He feels we fit into a situation that counts the most.  For the most part  the American church has a problem with rank, power, position, and pride that needs to be taken away from us before we can become servants to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.  Instead of creating new ministries with our name on it we need to be serving others through the existing work that is already established in our community.

Being brought together out of necessity of a common need is the reason that the churches in areas of great persecution and fear of death for their faith are growing leaps  and bounds over  what we do today.  It is the second and third world countries that are hearing the vital Gospel of Christ and putting it into action.  What does it take to have a revival in this country?  Prayer...most certainly!  It also takes a commitment from us as individuals to allow Him to strip away the pride, rank and pom pus of our attitudes from a people who have sent out missionaries to the world but now like the Corinthian church that Paul wrote to; get back to the milk of the word because we are unable to feast on meat.  Most of our types of prayer are not being heard because of our heart as we pray so let us change that circumstance.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
