WHERE IS YOUR SECURITY FOUND?

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

What would it feel like for you to lose your security?  This is a question that very few people ever have to answer in our society, and yet when we do it usually brings us back to the original question we have been asked about our relationship to God.

My point here is that we have so often used God as a commodity or some kind of tool in our culture in the same way we use the membership to a club or an organization as a business tool for networking with people that we have lost the value of a relationship with God as a real security that can sustain us  if hard times were ever to really fall on us.  I have long awaited a time in this country when we would no longer be able to depend on the things of this world to keep us safe from the real evil that lurks behind the scenes; unseen and where most are unaware.

I have long awaited a time when the " things" we have around us can no longer determine who we are as a person, but it seems that is even more difficult to find today than it ever has been.  I don't believe we can really see God for who He really is if we have our lives cluttered with the goods of this world, and I don't believe that God ever has the chance to speak to our hearts as long as we are so distracted by stuff, and by the noise that too much stuff makes in our heads and hearts to listen.  God's still small voice is hooked directly to our hearts by design, and so the ability to hear Him speak will always be there; and the ability to choose to ignore that voice inside of us will also always be there.  In the end it will always be our own fault when we find that we have missed the most important things of all.

The most important things to us as a living being is not found in things.  There is nothing physical that we can hold on to that can offer us any eternal security at all.  Our real security is in the decisions we make here and now in this life about God, and our relationship with Him.  There can be no more important thing to any of us than life itself and where we will spend all eternity.  It is that simple truth that is so hard for us to embrace here because the world is telling us that this is all there is to live for.

We must know that eternal life is already ours because we are created to live spiritually forever more; the question is not life, but it is how we intend to live that life?  In spite of what this world tells us there are only two options to this question.  God has made an offer to us to forgive us and reclaim our rights to His inheritance by saying YES to Jesus as our Savior!  On the other hand we have the option to saying NO to Him as well and living for all eternity without God's blessings or presence in our life.  We will live either way, but if we live without God we live with all of the evil this world has to offer without God's protection from the pain and anguish that you will forever suffer.  Stop and think for just a moment what that will mean.  First there is no death to your body, but there can be decease and pain...there can be most certainly accidents that cripple or maim you , while there still can be no death or relief in any way from them.  That does not even come close to speaking to the evil of there being no law our security to protect you or  anything that you might possess.  How about the possibility of  being kidnapped and tortured for someones pleasure!  Still no death!...and NO protection or love shown from God because He will not be there.  If you find yourself in that position there will also be no chance to change your mind because that chance is happening right now.

It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit uses this message to touch your spirit today and draw you to a member of my Spiritual family so they can pray with you about this.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
