THE 5 PRINCIPALS OF GROWTH discussion ONE

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

Each person who represents Jesus Christ and the Good News has a purpose and a duty to allow God's Spirit to work through their life to make changes both in them personally and in the relationships that each of us have with this world.

These 5 principals are not new by any stretch of the imagination, but they are solid dirctives which have been given by Christ to draw us ever closer to God the Father.  When we first come into this world the main objective as a baby is to eat and grow enough to have the strength to develop properly.  We can look at  scripture found in James 1:18-27 as a starting place when we read that God has chosen to give us life through the word.  This a kind of FIRST FRUITS of God's purpose for creating us.  We should as the church be hanging on every word from the Son of God as a true believer.  Each of the principals that have been written to the church as the Bride of Christ have been based upon His word given to us.  We cannot grow properly without the right kinds of food spiritually.  When first come to Christ we need to react to the Spiritual food from the word just as a new born child reacts to pure milk.  At first we cannot understand or even digest the deeper spiritual things that may be available to us. 1 Peter 2:2  It has nothing to do with our intelligence but with our spiritual growth.  If we try to take on too much of the deeper things in Christ we will soon find ourselves in trouble simply because we will undoubtedly make mistakes with it.

The disciples questioned many of the things that Jesus did, one of them was about His habits of  eating, and prayer.  Jesus explained in Matthew 4:4 that we should not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.  We need to be careful with the ways we go about feeding with God's word because we can get the real message wrong just like the disciples often did while they were right there  with Jesus.  We must consider carefully the context that the word gives us as we study and never allow ourselves to get off on a track that will lead us down a doctrinal pathway of separation from one another.  Christ is not divided, and He does not promote division; that comes from the world of men.  One of the things that I pray that you will be able to find in this series of discussions is that the message that Christ came to deliver is simple and true . It has no divisions in it at any time although it allows us to choose the various worship styles that fit us to draw us closer to Him it does not divide us from being of the same mind and heart in Christ.  There are several scriptures that do give us a look at  what God expects from us as His disciples. 2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to do our best to present ourselves to God as someone who is approved; as someone who does not need to be ashamed of their understanding of the word of truth.  There are so many people who have set themselves up as teachers or ministers of the Gospel who are doing no more than teaching and preaching a brand of Christ, and not the direct words of Christ themselves.

In this FIRST PRINCIPAL of feeding on God's word Jesus indicates in John 6:31  that if we are truly His disciples we will hold to the teachings that He alone has given to us.  We will find that only the truth within the teaching of Jesus will truly set us free.  We will never find ourselves free to fellowship with one another in Christ unless we shed the tons of rules and doctrinal creeds that have separated us from one another.  We have a great obligation to stay as close to the teachings and the foundations that Jesus has set down for us as we can.  He has told us that not one thing that He has given us will ever change  We should be helping one another to understand the things that Jesus taught us instead of trying to muddy the  waters by attaching our name to a creed or doctrine that supports a man's opinion.  Let's get back to worship and ministry the ways that Jesus taught us to.  I pray that you will stay with me throughout this series. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
