THE ONLY WAY TO PLEAS GOD

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

Many people tend to set themselves up as a king in their own minds.  In fact they consider themselves to be much more important than they really are to the world around them only to learn a very hard reality in the end; that being that no one is indispensable in this life.  Even though people tend not to always live by truth in their lives I don't know anyone who does not want others to be truthful to them in their dealings.

As we continue with Proverbs 16: 7-19 today we will see some of how that works  through some of God's wisdom given through the words of Solomon. " When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord he makes even his enemies live at peace with him, Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.  In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. The lips of a King speak as an oracle, and his mouth should not betray justice. Honest scales and balances are from the Lord all the weights iin the bag are of His making"  I don't know how many times within my life these very things have played out to be true within my life.  God tends to protect His people from evil that simply runs rampant in life.  I tend to believe that God does still put a sense of peace on our enemies that causes them to leave us without torment when we live a righteous life by putting God first in everything.  I heard a message from Dr. Charles Stanly  today that spoke of putting God first in all things, and then allowing Him to freedom to answer our prayers according to His will in our lives.

Within each one of us is a desire that leads us through each day. It may be a goal at work, or a desire in our hearts to do or to be something that we aspire to be, but some times we tend to forget that it is God who actually determines  our steps. What we say is very often a part of creating an emotion or an atmosphere that determines how  another person looks at or reacts to us, and even those who are the most worldly among us still respond to the truth through justice that we show  them because if we judge fairly  we will always  feel God's hand at work within our lives, and so will those around us.

I share the praying biker with you today as a reminder that outside appearance  is often misjudged in life, but it is our actions taken that really make a huge difference in the lives of those around us.

" Kings detest wrongdoing, for a throne is established through righteousness. Kings take pleasure in honest lips, they value a man who speaks the truth. A Kings wrath is a messenger of death, but a wise man will appease it. When a Kings face brightens it means life, his favor is like a rain cloud in the spring. How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding than silver. The highway of the upright  avoids evil he who guards is way guards his life.  Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.  Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud".  When the word speaks of Kings here it means those who are in power or in charge of rule over our lives.  There are quite a few people whom we could have to answer to under the right circumstances, and those people and in those places there could be life changing circumstances to deal  with.  It is so much better to be able to shake the hand of an officer of the law than to feel as though you need to run for your life.  Most of this is attitude and who it is that you have turned your ear to listen to in this life.  I believe that we all still have a sense of what truth is when we hear it, but even though we may know it many of us have made the decision not too stand for it when we know it is being dismantled right in front of us.

It is ultimately the influences that we allow to direct us emotionally that win out, and so  that is why our attention must first be on God and what that truth really is rather than on a question of right or  wrong that someone can manipulate to their agenda.  We must continue to fight for righteousness, and the truth that has been set before us.  It is only when we allow someone to come along and dislodge our minds from what that truth is with something that seems right to the mind of men for a while that we can be pulled to and fro by the cuningness of men and the evil they bring.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
