A PLEA TO GOD IS OUR ONLY HOPE
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
There were many times during the life that King David lived where he was hiding from his enemies for fear of his life. On several instances, he wrote about these situations like he did in Psalms 70:1-5
" Hasten O God to save me; Lord come quickly to help me! May those who seek my life be put to shame and confusion, may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace. May all of those who say "Aha! Aha! be turned back because of their shame; but may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you, may those who love your salvation always say "Let God be exalted" Yet I am poor and needy come quickly to me "O God you are my help and deliverer. Lord do not delay."
I believe that David could have a contrite heart in his repentance from sin because of all of the times that he knew that God had indeed saved him from his enemies. David did very much the same thing that I find all of those men who were called by God did; they tested His word in their life.

The only hope that any of us ever have is in God's rescue, and in His perfect timing. It is often when all of our strength has gone and all of our hope for self-preservation has run out that we can turn to God in a truthful way of complete repentance and reliability. I don't believe that God really trusts us unless we are in any other place but having to totally rely on Him for our rescue. It is really sad how we must lose all ability to help ourselves before we are willing to give everything to God, but that is the way self will work most of the time. We must come to the point many times in this life where we have no choice but to turn to God. The Father knows that about us because He created us to fight to the bitter end, but He also knows that once we have learned that lesson, and once we can turn to Him in that way and trust in Him in that way we will never be willing to live without that security. That my friends are the bonding moment where we and God become as one. It is that kind of trust and love that we not only need to have with God but with one another as well.
When we are surrounded by those who want nothing more than our total destruction our only recourse is to cry out to our Father for protection and guidance. I believe that wants for us to learn to lean on His understanding and wisdom in all of the things in our life that we do battle with. Even those as powerful as the angels must rely on the power and the will of God to sustain them in the Spiritual battles and places that are very real. In fact, it is the Spiritual realm that we will find to be even more real than the one that we are living in right now; and much more permanent as well. It is my personal prayer that our country will once again learn to acknowledge God as the supreme power over this life instead of trying to take His place on the Throne. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
