OUR FAITH AND CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

The primary thing I see different in the people who go through a disaster of any kind is the fact that we tend to turn back to looking out for and caring for one another.  I believe that is still a basically created function within us from God.

We never think about this as something spiritual and yet it is a part of what God has created within our heart to be to one another in times of need.  This does not come out through our will to do it unless we take the time to learn and be trained in doing this.  Mostly the people who do this automatically are always involved in things like food drives or clothing drives for the needy in our communities; but I am not talking about that.  What I am referring to deals with the knee jerk response that God has created in almost all of us to help look out for the well being of others in a time of need; and we are seeing examples of that still being alive and well in people during these natural disasters.  I am reminded of a scripture found in Matthew 25:35-46." For I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me drink"

While this scripture tells us of those who are following the natural created parts of our heart to care for one another; it also deals with those among us who have hardened their hearts to others and to Christ.  They will be sent away because of  the lack of natural desire to do good.

It is time for each one who would profess to know Christ in particular to search their hearts in these matters to find out if life  and the world around us has sucked out of the created tendency to want to show one another love toward our fellow man.  If our heart does not feel the pull to want to help then we may really need to work on getting our hearts more open.  Be open to the love that God has created in us to share and to look out for one another because it is that basic character which will take the control back out of the hands of those who want to destroy our country.  Read all of that chapter of Matthew 25: so that you get a good understanding of what Christ was saying to the disciples on that day.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
