WHAT DO YOU HAVE SAVED THAT WILL LAST FOREVER?

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

It is not unusual for people to have savings accounts that they are trusting in to help them later on in life.  In fact we are trying to always save and build up for ourselves against  the idea of keeping away hard times.  Every thing that we do in fact is based upon the fact that at sometime in our lives we may have to rely upon it, but that is only if we can know that what we have saved will be there when we need it.  One of the things we have found in this life is very few things can remain for certain and without concern or worry.  For a great many years I too chased that kind of security for my life until I started to really dig into the meaning of what Jesus was trying to teach us.  It was at that point  I began to see the point He was making about using our talents and our gifts to give to others.  I began to see the real value of what I shared with others as an investment  into them, and so in the 80's I began to do cartoons to brighten up others days.  I started to leave things around for others both as a gift to them , but also as a way of witnessing when I thought it  good to do so.  I eventually stopped trying to make money with the art that I did and just began to use it as a way to touch another persons heart.

I have found for me at least that God has honored that decision; not because my art is so good , but because I have used it to invest in other people.  When ever I go into a restaurant I do a napkin for the waitress, and over the years I have become known in various places for that so much that I automatically get extra napkins and a hopeful look  from the ones serving me.  This has become an investment tool that I use when ever I go out to eat if I can.  When we read Matthew 6:19 we need to be awakened to the possibility of a new investment made in life for both ourselves and for those whom we make contact with during a day.  If we do not do this sort of investment in one another as well as to lay up those treasures for ourselves that are unable to be harmed by the natural decay or theft of this world we will be missing out on the one thing we work for in the first place.

Where is your security being held right now?  Is it in this world, or is it in the transformation of who we are that allows us to fit into the Kingdom of Heaven?  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
