SERVANTS, STWARDS AND CHILDREN

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

We continue to deal with the question of " Who did God create us to be?"  In this series of discussions we have seen that God has created us in His own image, and that image is actually three fold: Spirit, Mind, and Body.  We are spirit which is the same perfect state that God resides in; we are mentally able to create at least emotionally with our words and thoughts, but we are limited just as Lucifer is in being able to create anything that has not already been made by God, and we are limited to this physical form of mankind.  Jesus came in the form of a man so that we could see still that it was possible to be able to have a relationship with God once again through including the Holy Spirit in our daily walk and in perfecting our spirits through the teachings of Jesus.

CAN I ASK YOU A SERIOUS QUESTION?  How is your personal Spiritual Adoption going?

The reason I ask that question is because there are certain things that we should be looking for to happen within our relationship with God that should bring us progressively closer to Him.  These are some of what God has created us for that  I want to touch on here today.  1. We have a ministry through Jesus Christ  to be witnesses of what He has done and is progressively doing through our lives, and if these things are being seen in your life by others and in particular by you; there is something wrong with your adoption that needs to be addressed.  1 Corinthians 4:1 " So then  men ought to regard us as servants of Christ, and as those entrusted with the secret things of God."   In our purpose and call toward citizenship in the Kingdom we are all first of all servants to that Kingdom and that realm.  In that status there are several areas that we are all called to in Christ that should become stronger in us over a period of time. 2. We are called in that role as servants toward not only receiving Grace, but in dispensing Grace to others  1 Peter 4:10.  3. We are also called toward righteousness  1 Corinthians 4:15.  All of these things are a part of what we should be looking for to happen within our lives as we are being prepare for our role in the Kingdom of Heaven.  We are stewards of the New Testament through our relationship to Christ  1 Corinthians 3:6.

If we are see clearly what this process of adoption really is we must begin to to have a sense of change coming in our lives according to His purpose created within us. It is that change that God is looking for in our spiritual character before that final adoption into His family.  We can make a verbal commitment to Jesus, but unless that is followed up with surrender to and obedience to Christ as Lord of our lives it will  do us no good.

We need to understand that this is not just an automatic thing that happens when we confess Jesus Christ as Lord.  Our will is also involved, and that will remains a free will to choose whom and what we will serve in life.  We must trust in Christ, and in His word given to us.  Our purpose here is to choose between God and self; eternity in Heaven or eternity without God's favor or protection...and then ultimate destruction.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
