GIVING SIGNIFICANCE TO GOD IN OUR LIFE
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
It has always been true when we think of our life impact on those around us that we want to leave a positive image. We want to have significance in our relationships with others as we pass through peoples lives. In the last blog we talked about having had that open relationship with God cut off by the deceit and lies of Satan to Adam and Eve in the Garden. The result of that relationship having been cut off for us has been the most significant thing in our created history. I don't believe that we as humans have ever gotten over the guilt that we placed upon ourselves from that original sin, but we lost something else in that process as well that must be replaced if we are to find our way back to God.
That thing is the great significance and deep treasure we place in our relationship with God. The Father has given us all great gifts that we need desperately to regain a rightful place in His Kingdom.
We have spoken about things like Respect, trust, honesty, and commitment. We bring these things to the table in our relationship with God because it is that which directly effects the quality of our relationship with God. These are qualities already created within us as we are created in the very image of God and yet God does not force these things from us; they are brought forth by our own free will.
It is this which determines the great battle that we all face in this life between our existence here in the physical form and our created existence spiritually. Just as Paul wrote " The things that I would do are the things I do not do, and the very things I would not do are the things that I do" it becomes a constant battle for us to live for God; thus it is a daily sacrifice of our life here. Although the enemy tells us he is actually our friend we always see his true character come out when right at the last second before we think we have won by playing along in this world...the enemy always pulls the rug out from under our feet causing us to crash and burn! If we could only understand that from God's point of view we could soon know the value of what we do in this life. We are required to sometimes dig very deep within us to find the truly created nature of God within us, and if we do dig deeply enough we would understand the reasons why God desires such a close relationship with us out of Hiss love for us. It is that closeness of a parent to a child, and is far deeper than we could ever have with any other human being. The intensity of it is left us to the pureness of honesty in the intent of our heart; and that is what God so desires from us.
Each of these discussions have been leading us to think about the original purpose for why we have been given this form of life first before we enter into an eternal relationship in Heaven, but I think the more we talk about these things the more we should understand the need for our Heavenly Father to know the true intent of our heart toward Him first. I will not sugar coat it...this is not an easy life to life ESPECIALLY AS A CHRISTIAN! I believe that God knows that as well, but that is why He has said what He has about needing to know how much we really desire to be with Him. God needs to be able to trust us when we say we love Him more than we love this world! God needs to see our commitment to stay the course even when it gets rough. God needs to be able to trust in the intent of our heart. I want to make us think more about these things as we go into further discussion in weeks to come. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
