UNVEILING OUR CREATED PURPOSE IN CHRIST
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Jesus asked us "who do you say that I am?" There is one thing for sure; we cannot answer that question without the power of God's Spirit revealing the truth to us, just like He did with Peter on that day.
Those of you who know me well also know that I tend to go a little deeper than most people into the cause and effect behind such statements, and this is no exception. There some very important facts that we need to look at when we consider who Jesus really is to us; and then after we answer the question of whether or not He is Lord of our lives there is a second question to be considered:
Who am I in relationship to the world around me? If we truly believe in Jesus as our Lord then we must also consider who we are actually created to be . For a long time I have struggled with the idea of being created as more than I can see or feel on the outside in this physical world, and when I read in scripture about how the Angels are in awe of us as a creation, and how in many ways they are meant to be servants and support for us during the trials of this life I can't help but wonder if we are not suppose to unveil at least in part a greater purpose of who we are created to be. I don't know about you but I feel that God has placed within us so much more than we have ever thought was there, and that somehow it is all hidden away from us in this life until we start to search for God enough to understand the power and the talent that God has already created within us. This may seem to be a very dark place to go but it may also explain why many of us seem to have to prove to God that we mean business in our declaration of love for God more so than others depending on what God knows is already there inside of us.
I believe that we are created to be much more than we realize we are both in ability and strength to withstand the trials of this world. Some of us actually come from a background that is unlikely in the eyes of this world to ever find God again or to be able to fight our way back into His presence, but I believe it is time to try to unveil some of what God sees within us as a creation. I believe it is time to begin to break open the barrier and unwrap the truth about what God sees there. This does nott just deal with our relationship to the Angels , but with creation all around us as mankind. When God first started me on this journey parts of what He has taught me were things I didn't want to see, and then there were other parts that lead me to mountain peeks where I could see much better the purpose for my life. Perhaps the same thing can happen with you as we begin this journey together as we unwrpa the creation of who we are meant to be in God's eyes. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
