JESUS SPEAKS ABOUT JUDGING AND DISCERNMENT

Greetings in the name of Jesus :

Today the church has been teaching us to never judge a person or a situation basically because we teach that Jesus told us not to judge.  I want to look today at the real teachings of Christ on this subject, and then look at how the church has been almost beaten into a kind of submission to a social political correctness that is straight from the enemy of God.

In Matthew 7:1-6 Jesus lays out exactly what we should be doing as a mature child of God as we look at this world.  1. Let's deal with that statement about Judgment. "Judge not lest ye be judged, for in the same way you judge others you will be judged, and with the same measure you use it will be measured to you"  We all want to be judged fairly by God when it comes down our personal life and actions and yet what measure do we use today to make our judgments  about situations and people?  The politically correct thought is to never judge anything or anyone good or bad for fear we may offend someone in life.  The problem is that we make judgment calls all of the time and everyday we are judging things, but the deeper that we get caught up in a system of apathy toward good and evil in this world the more we let just slip on by us without even giving an opinion.

We become like the snowflake that tries to stay away from any impurity, but eventually we will come into contact with the world, and when we do our status changes dramatically from having been untouched by circumstances to now being absorbed by them. 2. Let me tell you that we cannot be in a position to judge anything on a personal basis because we are not pure enough on our own to judge something.  We have to use a different standard to make judgments by; which is the standard of God's word given to us.  The first part of that process of judgment is to look at ourselves."Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brothers eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?  How can you say to your brother, let me take the speck out of your eye when  all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your brothers eye."

The entire process deals with first obeying the teaching of Christ for our own life , and then we will be free and clear to see what is of God and what is of this world; after that then we should indeed make a judgment call on what we see that is based upon God's judgment of it and not our own.  My dear ones we need desperately to start to remove all of the foreign matter that this world has been placing in our eyes.  We have not been seeing things very clearly for a long time now according to God's word to us.  We need to first root out all  that blinds us to the truth and then make a firm stand in judgment for that which we know is right and truthful.  There is not alternate truth out there or opinion about  truth that can be substituted for truth.  The truth is absolute no matter  what opinion that any source may have about it.  Right now your life is being judged by the truth that you are using to view this world and your relationship with God upon...is that truthful?  The world is trying to say to you that if you do not judge anything then you will never be judged...how truthful do you really think that is?  In the deepest part of your gut you know the answer to that is that in the end " EVERY KNEE WILL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE WILL CONFESS THAT JESUS IS LORD"  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
