RESPONSIBILITY and our faith

Responsibility is one of those words that we attempt to control by shifting it or deflecting it to someone else.  This has been going on now ever since  Cain and Able, and the problems that have arisen from it have only increased with each generation of people.

You see in order to not be held responsible in life one of the most basic of sins is to accuse someone else or to seek after a substitute for our responsibility.  There is an example of that in Exodus 4:10-13.  It is time that we all realize that God does delegate responsibility Deuteronomy 1:9-18.  Responsibilities like that of a parent to their children, and the saved to witness to the lost are all a part of the remembering, following, and perpetuation of the Divine teachings of God.

I wanted to mention another type of responsibility that many Christians are lacking today...experience.  You see gaining experience with Christ in your life also leads to responsibility.  The actual experience that we gain from allowing the Holy Spirit to do His work in, and through us is simply taking care of the business of the Kingdom of God; which is a responsibility we all have in Christ.  No matter if it is assigned responsibility like that of a Gate keeper or a Watchman that we find in the Old Testament, or the use of our talents to spread the word of God Matthew 25:14-30 we are all held to that same accountability or responsibility.  We are told from the very start of our walk with God that we have a personal need for growth in our Christian life.  Not many people really seek to grow in Christ because we are told by so many that growth in the Holy Spirit is rather automatic by our hanging around other Christians, but that only happens if we seek to hang around other people of faith.  Even then we cannot expect for our faith to grow by watching others live for Christ...we must get actively involved in that process.

There are those who truly do care for the lost John 10:11-14 and for the most part people do tend to sit back and watch them struggle with that responsibility alone.  We are given a call to join them in what ever way our talents and desires are in our faith to be a team that works with those who dare to step up.  No one likes to fail, but when we put our goals in Christ we are aiming at perfection 2 Corinthians 13:11.  Just as we are given the responsibility for our own affairs we are also called on to help one another like any family would take care of one of their own in need 1 Timothy 5:3-8.  We are responsible for  showing others a better way...we are directed to be our Christian brothers keeper if need be; but only to the point that they are willing to listen to God's word through us.  We cannot allow ourselves to be fooled by this world any longer.  Keep praying and growing in Christ dear ones...and pray for me...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
