PROVOCATION...a trick of this world

Greetings in Jesus:

Every year at about this time I start to get troubled by the provocation of this world to simply loose my temper or to take an action on something that bothers me with UN- Christlike results.

It is usually started by carelessness in people who should be doing their jobs, but who have lost their way somehow.  There is a general rule of carelessness going on right now in our country concerning upholding laws that are already written but not obeyed, or attitudes that are allowed to stand that take respect away from the laws in general.  That kind of thing starts when no one really knows what right and wrong are anymore...and it has become a cancer that is not only eating away at our country, but at our churches as well.

I look back into scripture like in Numbers 10:35 to find prayers of protection given over some very foolish sins that are being committed.  Today we are facing some very formidable opponents that have begun to outwardly attack the very fabric of our Faith in Christ through criticism and lies spread like is found in Job 20:2-3.  God has given us the truth to use as a guideline we need desperately to heed that instruction Proverbs 16:20.

I look back to the word of God and in particular the Old Testament scriptures as I see the world becoming more blatant than ever before about putting down God's truth and His word to us Isaiah 36:18-21 or 37:6.  I know that most of this world does not believe and does not want to follow God's ways; but we are not among those who have been so easily fooled by the sin of man.  We do not have to be at odds with our maker Isaiah 45:9.  We do not have to let it get to the point like the ones who started to mix human blood with their sacrifices Luke 13:1 before see learn about forgiveness.  This is an age not like any other in history, and from the looks of it this may well be the final age in history.  In many ways my friends today we all face the same conditions as did the prodigal son, but we also have the attitude of the prodigal son's brother in our country to deal with Luke 15:25-32.  It is time for all of us to reconsider our relationship and actions we have taken or (not taken) to testify to who Christ is to our personal lives.  This week we will begin to explore some of these inner emotions from being provoked by this world.  I pray that you will join me in bringing back that which we have been loosing to this world. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
