OUR PLAN OF SALVATION...ours or His

It feels as though we are always coming back to the same subject...understanding of what God meant when He said " Jesus came to save the lost"  The problem of course with this is that we want to take God's promises to us without condition; yet  place many conditions on our part of that contract being fulfilled.

The one thing that we cannot do is to take a lead from the political climate of today.  We can see corruption as far as the eye can see.  The Plan Of Salvation is meant for all mankind, and yet while we are all called to heed God's word and turn to Him not all will do so.  The truth is that it is GOD"S plan for our Salvation and not ours that matters. If we are to even be a part of the souls that God has reached out to successfully then we must not deviate from what God has asked us to do in response to accepting that Plan.

In this world after a long time of suffering with lies and deceit as country we have responded to someone coming who is speaking the truth about things...someone who seems to be instant in all kinds of areas...the same thing is true with the Christian who is instant in and out of season 2 Timothy 4:2.  If we continue to speak the truth only when it is convenient  we become as Proverbs 25:19 " confidence in an unfaithful man in times of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint"

For a very long time we have tried to prove a point with the world instead of simply telling, and then living out the truth of the Gospel.  We have used a thing called Circular reasoning by trying to prove the Bible by quoting from the Bible.  That concept only works when we also live out the things we quote.  It is really our own lives that give power to what we say...the world has no reason to believe until they can see the proof of our words within the way we live them out.  It is therefore our own obedience to God's Plan of Salvation that gives what we say to others any power at all.  They can see those words in action through our own lives.  After our testimony is found to be true in Christ then the power of God's Spirit can begin to draw people unto Himself, and then we can minister to these people.  The plan of Salvation from God's point of view does include us at every turn as we grow in Christ and minister to others...but we must do things according to His work in us and our obedience to His word.  I hope that everyone can see that clearly as we get ready for another weekend, and an oportunity to praise and worship.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
