2nd blog CONTINUING THE MESSAGE FROM GOD'S SPIRIT

By God's grace for a long time now I have been bothered by the teachings found in Matthew 7:6-27 but I want to break this down bit by bit for us to understand it's value to us today.  These are teaching directly from Jesus that tell us "not to give dogs what is sacred, and not to throw perils before pigs for if you do they will trample them under their feet, and then turn to tear you into pieces".  I have been seeing more situations and life experiences being played out with that kind of thing in mind especially this year.  The world is reacting to the love that is freely given by the church in that same way.

There are always people who are in need that are also very thankful and deserving of that effort, but we are also seeing more people outside of Christ who are treating those efforts in the same way that the pigs treat the perils by  them being trodden under foot.  It is time for the church to awaken to the fact that this world does not understand the value of what we are trying to give to it.  Because of that we need to use good Spiritual discernment when it comes to how we testify Christ to this world.

This has caused me to meditate somewhat and pray on just what this passage was trying to tell us.  Our job is not to just pour out love on the world , but to demonstrate what that kind of love can mean for them by them coming to Jesus Christ as the Lord of their lives.  It is this point of light which can be used to shine into the darkest of places within this world. I know that Satan will always hate the light that we shine forth, but we are intended to be a testimony of what this world can have in Christ.  For the most part the world has no clue of what the brand of love is that we offer them in Jesus Christ. Nothing that we say or do will make any sense to someone outside of God's Spirit unless we demonstrate it to them.

We can and should be taking the concept of loving one another literally as a demonstration of what love means.  This will allow God's Spirit the chance to draw men unto Him in the ways the Spirit had intended to work through us. Sowing seeds by simply throwing them on what ever soil is available is not the way to witness.  We need to have good demonstration of Godly love shown to those outside of Christ instead of simply casting the word out into this world and hoping some of it sticks.  I believe this brings a completely different meaning to the way we are giving testimony and witness to the world by concentrating on our love for one another within the body of Christ, and allowing God's Spirit to convict and draw people unto Him...when that happens then our job becomes to love those whom God has sent our way, and bring them into the fold.  What we offer to the world needs to be quality, and we cannot have quality if no one understands what we are doing.  I welcome any comments that anyone has or additions to what God is giving to us today.  Pray with me that the Lord might bring this even deeper into our hearts...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
