JESUS TALKS ABOUT HIS RETURN

MATTHEW 24:26-35 is the section of Matthew that speaks of Jesus return within His own words.  This account can also be found in Mark 13:24-31 and Luke 21:25-33.

I want to make it clear that Jesus spoke in terms that had predictions that had far reaching effects.  Some of these things have already happened and others are happening right now.  I believe that the distress that Jesus is speaking about up til now has yet to happen because of the term in verse 21 where Jesus tells us "there will be distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now...and never equaled again" He tells us if those days were not cut short no one would survive!  I want to take those words to heart.

Jesus warns us again about the deceit of false prophets in this age.  He tells us all along that we can tell when things are coming that we need to avoid.  The lightening in the sky tells us of the warning of weather that is moving through, and we can also see the things happening around us that are signs of things to come.  Have you noticed how blatant women are getting about showing off their body in public?  It has gotten so bad that women are now walking around nude with body paint on to cover them.  Even the bikini's worn leave nothing to the imagination.  The sad part of this is that we as a society are accepting this as normal behavior. My point is that we can see the signs of things changing around us even in this physical world, but we don't seem to be able to relate those things with what God has already told us will take place.  I am very confident that this world will become a much darker place than we can imagine before the end comes.  The morality of this country has a long way to go before we can be as bad as Sodom or Gomorrah, and yet we have learned that it only takes a very short time for things to get that bad.  I look at the single generation of my life as a serious sign as to how bad things can get...and for the most part in the two generations since then have yet to really make any difference in that picture.

I don't know how dark it is going to get before He comes, but Jesus tells us right after the distress of those days verse 29 " The Sun will be darkened, and the Moon will not give its light;the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken"  It is at that time we will see the signs of the Son of man coming....and Jesus says that all Nations will mourn.  To me this indicates that no one will physically be considered to be God's Chosen people except for those who follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior....once again we may well be surprised by what the Lord is going to do at that time.  That is one of the reasons I feel strongly that we need to stick closely to the teaching of Jesus on the end times.

My dear ones I believe that within our intent of heart we already know the truth about all of this...I believe that some how that truth is created within us to be able to understand it when it is brought forth for us.  It is my prayer that you will begin to read and meditate on these things for yourself as well.  Use your time to confirm what God is telling all of us, and stop playing games with your relationship with Him.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
