LIVING WITHIN YOURSELF
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
We have been talking about the difference in perspective this week that God has about us from the view that we have of self. If for just a moment we could put ourselves in the position that God is in we would quickly see the reasons why God views us the way that He does. If you had made a beautiful essence that was very precious to you, but you were faced with the decision you needed to test the quality of that essence to make sure it would not spoil under certain conditions what would you do? God put these creations in individual containers of mud that would keep the essence intacted and still allow exposure to things that could potentially harm the inside product. That product is who you are right now spiritually. The product of your spirit is not created bad, but you have free will that will allow you to deal with choice and decisions about what you experience as you are in this container. It is not what you are exposed to that corrupts you, but what you decide to do with what you are exposed to that corrupts you.
For the most part life within these bodies is pretty simple...if we do not crack them or destroy them we get along pretty good, but if we keep exposing them to danger and difficulty eventually corruption will be able to seep through the very pours of who we are in this world to contaminate what is inside. In truth the only real answer is our turning to God for protection from what this contamination is to who we are on the inside. We have been created for fellowship and love with God, and yet we cannot walk and talk with God because of the sin we have lived in. Through the efforts and life of God's Son Jesus we have an opportunity to accept a cleansing process where we are taken out spiritually and cleaned up, then wrapped up in a protective coating ad put back into the mud container we live and survive in...then we are placed right back into the same environment we came from until it is time to take us out of the container.
Simply put we now have a new perspective through looking through not only the old container, but through a new protective spiritual container within us. If we try to understand what has happened we will get stronger within that protection and nothing of this world can seep through it to corrupt us again. All of that depends on our own self will however, because we can tear and scrape the inside in an attempt to control self until we break through that protection from the inside out. If we do that then we are again exposed, and even worse we have rejected from God what He has given us. That does not only mean we are exposed to the world, but that we have chosen to be...of our own choice corrupted. We have many different choices in this life, and in this clay vessel we call a body. I have often wondered about the journey that we are called to make as we live out this life, but the one thing I know is that God is not concerned about the clay pot we live in because He can make another instantly...He is concerned about what is in the clay vessel, and if it can be used and poured in with all of the other pure product that is used to build His Kingdom. I want for you to look into the scripture for yourself and let God's Spirit talk to you about this. Pray then take the time to listen as well. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
