WEAKNESS AND FLAW blog 2
Even for the average Christian today it becomes easy to accept the idea that we are flawed and that we will never be able to attain spiritual success in this life.
I am happy to inform you that if you have been living under that concept you are wrong; and that the enemy of God will do anything to keep you from God...even lie to you in church! You see we are in this world, but not of this world, and as we continue to walk with God we should be becoming more like our Heavenly Father. One of the biggest over looks we make as Christians is the realization that the bible was written to us as followers and disciples of Christ and not to the world in general. Like most other scriptures the teachings of Jesus are directly linked to our personal response to God's word. The world is responding to us in a mirror image of the way that we are responding to God. Our weakness and flaw is in taking the time to be taught by God's Spirit as to how we can respond to what comes our way. If we claim Christ but never allow Him to be a part of our knee jerk response to trouble the world holds no value in our witness in Christ...our words mean nothing because our life in Christ has meant nothing to us.
When Jesus spoke to the crowd about the fact that what goes into us does not defile us; but rather it is what that comes from us that defiles us He was not just talking about food, or the washing of our hands before eating; Jesus was talking about life itself, and our response to what we are exposed to. Among our greatest weaknesses is in our inability to use discernment when it comes to deceit in life around us. For that reason alone we must rely on that part of God who dwells within us to help our spirit's discern truth from lie. There are a great number of people within the churches today who have truly put all of their stock of belief into a lie of tradition and doctrine which has nothing to do with the worship of God or the relationship that He so wants to build with us. That is what the reference from Jesus about" They worship with a whole mind, and yet their hearts are far from me". Today even those among the elite of are being fooled and pulled away through following something that sounds good, that feel comfortable, and easy to work, and yet continues to separate us from the Unity of God's Spirit and word.
We are indeed in this world, but if we allow our heart and mind to be convinced this world is true we will never be able to find Spiritual truth. If we seek to save our physical life we will lose our Spiritual life because simply put the Kingdom of Heaven is not of this world.
For many people it has become impossible to know what is reality and what is temporary in life, but if we can see this world through Spiritual eyes it is easy to see that which is eternal is the only real thing we have and that which is physical is designed to be temporary in it's nature...as it decays and falls away again into dust...that includes your body. The enemy of God knows that if we take the time to meditate or think about the idea of what is temporary and what is eternal we will be able to see the truth; but we are forced to make decisions quickly and without all of the information. I hope by now you too can see just how much the world is lying to us from every front. We do have real choices, and they are straight forward. They are about what you have allowed into your heart, and how you are dealing with it. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
