A NEW SET OF RULES

There are a new set of rules being unleashed upon the world from God's Spirit which can no longer be simply ignored by men.  There has been a sense throughout the last several centuries  that we know all there is to know about the mind of God, and yet we have never scratched the surface of that depth.  We as mankind and even as followers have lumbered along behind the doctrines that we have largely created to worship God without even trying to look upon the true mind and plan that God has already created for this world.

There is a purpose that we have missed all along that is beginning to be shown to us.  It is a plan that God has always before told us would be worked in spite of any prayers or pleading  that we who are even a part of the church body might make.  We often quote such verses of scripture as "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and will seek my way I will hear their cry and heal their land"; and while these are words that bring us some comfort in these times of trouble they are often miss used when it comes to God's desire to continue to move forward in His ultimate plan in both judgment and a finish to the creation plans for us all.  While we know that God has an ultimate plan of a final judgment of this world, evil, and the second coming of Christ we have grown apathetic to the signs that are shown around us almost now on a daily basis that God is indeed moving forward to that larger purpose and goal for this existence.  Because of that we need to be paying a much greater attention to those things, and preparing our own lives and Spiritual relationships with God to meet what is coming.

God is indeed showing Christians the truth through the things that are taking place in this world, and it should give us warning to prepare for what ever we have been told will happen during this final period of time.  We know that God has told us in the final days evil will be unleashed upon this world to roam freely among us much like a lion seeking whom he may devour. We know about the Tribulation, and all that will befall mankind during that time yet we never want to think about what it may be like to live through such things ourselves.  My dear ones we are getting very close to the time in God's plan for these things to take place not just in some parts of the world, but all over this world, and it is time that we prepare to deal with it as best we can.  For a long time now I have felt that for the Christian there would be a time when God would require those who claim Christ to stand and give an account for their faith in the face of pure evil in this world.  For a long time the threat of death in the face of witnessing our faith has been a far removed possibility in America, and yet every day that possibility creeps a little closer.  I know that God will continue to move His plan forward no matter who may be alive or how much faith we say we have put in Him.  I will speak to you more about this in the next message, but you need to know that the real need to live out what you have always said you believed in is stronger today than it has ever been. That need is not just for those whom you may have the chance to witness to in this life, but for ourselves as well and the strength it is going to take to stand and to give an account for our faith in the possible face of our own death.  God has promised to save us...but while we think that means we may be spared any of the pain or discomfort that may physically come our way; we need to realize that God's Kingdom is not of this world, nor will it ever be.  We must realize that He is coming for our soul and not our body, and we must realize that even His greatest followers were crucified and stoned for their faith in Christ.  We have been told to count the cost as we build upon our faith in God's word, and the landscape that we have to work with here is changing a great deal...it is no longer easy to speak love or live grace and mercy.  As you walk out your door today are you drawing closer to God for the strength to do that?  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
