LOVING ONE ANOTHER WITHIN THE CIRCLE
We all know love when it comes to receiving it from God. We talk about it all of the time within our church services, and yet we know so little about the actual character of love or how it can be used as a tool from God's Spirit to help us build one another up in Christ.
For the most part we tend to ignore those who are all around us within the body of Christ in which we are a part, but God has placed the exact people in front of us to love that we need in order to bear witness to the world that we know how to love one another. In fact these relationships should be some of the closest relationships we have in this world. For each one of us there is a great presence of God that needs to be felt in our fellowship and conversation. In fact together we need to acknowledge that presence each time we are together. We need to always be aware of God's presence so that in the spirit we can bow down our lives together before Him.
There are so many times that we do not take the opportunity to let God decide how we interact together or what it is that we do. We need so desperately to let God have His way between us. We seem to fail at trying to imitate God's love to one another. Perhaps if we consider what Jesus may be doing in our lives when we are together the basic jest of conversation and activities would show us more of what God really wants for us to be with one another. In that process is also the vision to those in the world around us as to what love should be and real unity within the Spirit of God can produce.
We have all gotten into a habit of not listening to one another when we speak, and that is certainly true of listening to God's voice when we are together with someone in our inner circle in Christ. We should be showing our love for God through our obedience to His love when we are around one another...it is that reason that God has put us together as witnesses to the truth. We serve God more and better as a team than we do as individuals, and so we need to be aware of the many opportunities we have to be involved together in some kind of ministry to others...if we can see this difference we can begin to also see the great privilege it is to have one another and the chance to serve and grow together.
It is a fact that we don't really know love as nearly as well as we think we do; especially when it comes to loving those whom God has placed all around us within the body of believers we worship with each week. It is time that we take a closer look at those people whom God has given us to love first...May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
