DECEPTION
Did you know that those people who are being the most deceived by this world have no clue they are being deceived? One of my biggest jobs in Christ today is to get people to think for themselves about the circumstances that are going on around them.
You may notice that I have opinions about the condition of our country and the leadership that we have right now, but that is because I also see the spiritual relationship between what is going on and the direction that must take place before the end times and the tribulation begins. I have a dear friend that is always speaking about pre- or post- tribulation arguments, but in truth these things are all mute points when we understand that we all will be required to stand and give account for our beliefs in Christ. The fact remains that Christ is not coming back for our bodies, but for our souls. The promise is that we will all be resurrected and given new bodies that are glorified and that fit into the Kingdom of Heaven. One of the deceptions we face is that we will take anything from this life with us except for what we have learned in living it. None of the same attachments we have here will follow us except for the knowledge of how to love and respect God, and be unified with one another.
We don't seem to understand that almost everything that we face in this world has some kind of deception attached to it because of the nature of the world that we live in. If we can stay close to Christ we may be able to avoid personal deception but we will never avoid having to deal with it through the lives of those around us. This is just one of the things that we must contend with in this life that really do deal with what is taking place right now in front of our eyes.
Christ speaks to us over and over about not deceiving ourselves about the things that are taking place all around us and in particular what is taking place within us. The real dangerous deception is in our feeling that we cannot grow and become closer to God. That deception tells us that we are only human, and therefore cannot achieve a higher calling of Christ to our lives. We are indeed human, but we are also spirit, and we are capable of spiritual maturity and power in Christ that far exceeds what we think we can do toward spiritual perfection. Men like we read about in scripture particularly in the books of Acts
6:-7: were human too and they knew that they would have to pay a price for their actions of love for God. They were not deceived into thinking that they could not stand, and give an account for what and why they believed in God. They were the first to understand the New Covenant that Christ established within us through the gift of His Holy Spirit that literally transforms us into new creatures capable of more than we could ever comprehend in this life. Do not be deceived...God is not mocked...God is not dead. He lives not only on His own accord, but He should be the driving force of life for you as well...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
