UNDERSTANDING THE ENEMY ACTS 8
All blessings and glory are given to the only Lord of creation and life! I speak of my my Father in Heaven who sits upon His eternal throne in my heart.
We have just celebrated Easter Morning, and for those few family members that have gathered together we are all experiencing the same emotion...God is starting to move to change things in our world that can no longer be put back into place.
I can sense that the evil of this world is now unleashed to roam freely among us in this life like a ravenous animal seeking whom and what in this life that it may devour. It is a time foretold by scripture concerning the age that we are living in, and while there is nothing that we can do to reverse this process I am compelled to speak truth to you regarding our situation. Everywhere I look I see corruption and deceit in the leadership of our country, and while there good men that occupy some of the areas of power they are way too few to change the course that is set our lives over the next few years.
In order for us to survive and stand under this assault we are facing spiritually we must know some things that are not pleasant about the enemy of God.
1. This enemy is not your friend. Even though there may be many gestures and overtures of friendship or of co-existence made by the enemy of God his main objection in this world is to separate you from God.
2. This enemy will never play fair. The picture that you will be shown is one of someone who needs your help, and then continues you suck your life dry. Do not be deceived for there are always people who are in need, but those who are truthful will respond to the Spirit of Christ within you.
3. Concentrate on loving those whom God has given you to love instead of seeking to love this world and all who are in it. Our mission is that of witness to the world around us is to love one another as Christ has loved us. Preaching the Gospel to this world looks much different than most churches perceive it to be today.
4. Honesty goes a long way when it comes to developing a closeness with one another, that seems to be the one thing that the enemy cannot break through these days; the unity of our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
It is time that we began to understand the true enemy of God is in lulling us to sleep with the ideas that we can continue to live in a dream world that will be pre-tribulation, and that by some miracle we will never have to face the hard decisions we will ultimately be forced to make about what we believe and why we believe it. This week we will be concentrating on what it looks like to take the message we have been given out of the front door of our homes and our lives...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
