THE VOWS WE MAKE/SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL
For a very long time now God has been giving me insight into some of the things that I have sought answers for most of my life. That insight has dealt with the differences and the wisdom's that have been locked within the scriptures that show opposite points of view. One of these differences is in the vows we make in this physical world in different ways. Of course I think of marriage vows, but also there are other vows and contracts that we tend to make with people throughout our lives that need to be considered. I opened the word of God to Matthew 5:33-37 concerning Jesus teachings on the vows we make. The laws that we make concerning vows or pledges to one another create debit owed to those around us, and Jesus told us to try to avoid those kinds of things altogether because they are used by the enemy of God to confound us and confuse us. Jesus said "Let your yes be yes and you no be no".
I learned a long time ago if you really want to hear God chuckle then tell Him what your plans are for the day! Life can change right under our feet so quickly that it makes our head spin, and I believe the enemy uses that constant change to beat us down with. The actual truth is when you make plans in your mind for a day you simply make the enemy giggle with delight because they know when and how to attack your every move in that day. You see in the spiritual realm there are no time constraint to see something planted in your life that will eventually grow to choke out your ability to serve God, and unlike the kingdom of men we cannot lie effectively to the spiritual worlds of principalities without being caught. The enemy can and does use our intent of heart against us in this spiritual battle just as well as God uses the intent of heart to read the truth within what we do and say. We will never be able to lie our way past these physical strongholds we deal with in life; for the most part unless our intent is centered in Christ we are never protected from the enemy manipulating us even more than ever before if we try.
Many of the things that I am speaking of today are things that may seem right to us and can be logically explained as answers; but instead they become deceit. While we play around with a world of fairness the very sense of what we do is being used in broad sweeping ways to mislead us...and yes I am afraid that in many ways it is happening today within the church as well. There are ways that we can tell if something is of God's Spirit or if it is from either our own invention or the world's nature, and that is by the very type of fruit that it bears in our lives. In fact as time goes on we will be forced to rely upon the Spirit of Christ from within each of us to discern what is truth from what is lie within the church...that is how devious the enemy is. I believe that the fruit of the Spirit of God is easily recognized because it is straight forward, but the fruit of evil is often disguised or cloaked in some kind of political correctness that is supposed to be fair to all men.
For many years now I have had to deal with this argument from the world around me about the fairness to others issue. I want to talk more about that idea as an issue as it comes directly from the words of Christ in the next blog...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
