THE DEVELOPMENT OF COURAGE
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Time is quickly running out for us to make that all important decision about God in life...I can feel the Spiritual warfare all around me almost every day now. For a long time when ever I would hear a statement like that it would stir a reaction within me like an alarm going off within my spirit, but I am finding that it has been said for so long now and by so many people in the church that people are relaxing their guard now when they hear it instead of preparing their lives for what is to come.
I know that for some of my dear friends in Christ they are looking forward to being taken out of this world before any kind of real tribulation occurs, and yet others are continuously bracing for it to begin in full force at about any time. The word indicates to me that we will be tested to see what faith is in us, and what quality that faith is before this generation passes. It has only taken us one generation of people to turn this country into what we see today; so do I believe we will see the tribulation? I believe that we have been living in it for a while now...and it is going to get much worse before it gets any better.
Our lives are as yet not tested as far as our faith in God is concerned within this country...we have not yet contended unto blood as Paul would have said, but I believe that God must go through a process of weeding out those who are hiding within the body of Christ for convenience sake as they work out their own hidden agendas. The Church that Jesus established is much different than the one that we see marketed today in this world. Those people who live in various parts of this world and whom have been under attack by the powers and principalities of darkness know this very well. For those few whom have been exposed to the rest of this world's conditions also know the general flavor of what I speak when it comes to the conditions of life in other places. We have lives in a bubble in this world until now but that bubble is about to be burst wide open, and we shall no long enjoy the same protection that we have had throughout our lifetime. In a word we will be forced to find courage in our belief in Jesus Christ and in the word of God. I can tell you that the development of such courage to stand before this world and speak the truth will not be immediate and it will not be easy. We will undoubtedly find out what we really love and cherish in this life put on the line for the faith that we now say we have in Christ, and the more that we have the more difficult it will be to make that trade.
I have found that courage to live for Christ is not found in our ability to be self sufficient nor is it is being able to rely on anything that we may physically have around us. All of that at some time in our lives may well be stripped away, and the only thing left will be our relationship with God and our dependence on one another for physical help. The one thing that God wants from us more than anything else is to be in unity with Him and with one another so that His power may become complete within us. We must rely upon God's Spirit to complete that task, but it is our desire and commitment to that transformation by being obedient to God's will that develops the courage necessary to complete that process. We will all be called on to answer this challenge as God begins to pull away from this earth. We need to demonstrate our will to be with Him ...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
