OUR KNEE JERK RESPONSE

God woke me not long ago with a message that needs to be shared; it is the practical application between people who are in our lives everyday like that of husbands and wives.

My wife and I are very much alike in many ways, and yet there are times when we see the same subject with polar difference.  Our knee jerk response to one another is often not in line with God's word to us and so the intent of our hearts need to be changed to mend the relationship.  On the outside we are very much united, and others see nothing but the unity as long as we stay centered in Christ.  when we speak to one another we speak in love and unity, and yet we are at war in the intent of our hearts.  Until we can mend that which comes from the intent of the heart we will never be completely united...and that is the same with us and any other relationship.

All too often it is that knee jerk response we give to someone that indicates what we really feel on the inside.  If God listens to that then why shouldn't we?  I find that when we are tuned into those initial responses we can hear them so clearly through the discernment of God's Holy Spirit within us, yet we rarely reach deeply enough within us to listen.  There is a constant communication from God to us on these matters if we are open to hearing not with our ears but with our soul.  Most of the time the enemy is quick to reverse the initial response we get to cover the real intent.  I have often wonder what it would be like to have every one equipped with the ability to read the true intent of the heart so that there could be no real deception?  It would most certainly be a different world if the real truth could no longer be hidden from people. Voting would be so much easier, and our relationships would change dramatically.  I have often wished I could read peoples thoughts...those things that are so often hidden from us. I have also wondered just how that would change the ways we treat one another in this life?

I have found that it is our natural physical nature as men and women to be deceptive as we relate to this world and to one another.  It is something that has become so natural to us that we never think about our deception in thought verses what we say to someone.  Many times even as Christians we are using a form of deception without even realizing it because we don't want to hurt someones feelings , or we need to negotiate with a different point of view.  I often wonder about how pure my own intent of heart really is as I go through my day, and I can't help but wonder if my actions are always based upon truth or am I being deceived?  How deep do you want to go with God to find out?  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
