THE REAL QUESTION IS...

Greetings in the name of Jesus:
All through our adult life we contend with the need to find ourselves again.  It seems like this world feels we have lost the real reason we are here, and is trying to re-educate us as to what is important.  In order to grow up we stop playing and having fun in this world by trading fun and dreams for the reality of paying bills and going into debt.  It isn't so much reality that we find, but what it is like to be enslaved by this world and fall in line to a for drawn conclusion of what our REAL LIFE should be all about.

I am beginning to discover that real life is not even lived here, but we only experience the leading edge of what is to be eternity. Our choice about that life is  what we actually live for today...its like a short question and answer session for us from God about what we really feel in our heart about Him.  It is a decision that we make as to what the true intent of our heart is, and it is all on us.  We get the impression from the wisdom of this world that we are so wise and in control, but the reality is that we are neither wise nor are we in control.  We are here to make a simple choice about where we will spend our life after this quick introduction.  Will we wake up and understand the gravity of that choice; or will we simply do a zombie walk through life without ever asking questions or researching the real truth about what is going on around us?

We have so many people who are genuinely putting out the choices before us about  the direction that we are headed in for eternity, yet we stand and say " How stupid" the hope is that that they have in God or something good.  In truth the real stupidity is in just letting the chance to find out the truth slip through our fingers until it is too late to change the events that we know are going to happen.  So often we cast ourselves in the role of "Captain of our destiny" yet we take no command of the ship because we don't want the responsibility of failure.  In truth I don't think that anyone wants the responsibility of failure...I know that is the reason that I have put my trust and life in the hands of someone who has proven to me that He is perfect in every way, and completely willing and capable of protecting my future and my life by giving me a direction and a purpose in Christ.

The question that I ask you today is what are you doing with this introductory offer of life eternal?  What choices are you making that will insure that you are safe and happy?  We are all going to live forever more...get that in your mind; but where and how we will live for all eternity is what is at stake here.  I don't want to put myself in the situation where I will be forced to live without God's light or protection from evil.  I don't want to live with the pain physically that this world offers me with no hope.  I know right now that the only thing that is saving my life from evil beyond measure is the God who loves me  I know that right now we have both God's nature and the evil of this place at work in our lives, but think what will happen when God withdraws from this place and takes His own home with Him?  I believe that it is worth the time to ask that question about your life and the simple decision you have been given this time to answer...don't you?  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
