ATTENTION TO DETAIL

There is no doubt that the first church gave a tremendous amount of detail to the relationships they had with one another.  I don't believe that was by accident, but by design.  Our very identity starts to change from that of self and an individual into a collective becoming one new person together the moment we accept Jesus.  The things we strive toward and war against, and even the weapons we use to do battle with are meant to be use in a collective way...a spiritual way.

God has even told us to not hold onto the things of this world as we seek to learn more and make even greater  efforts to cling to the Kingdom of God. In so many words He has told us that it is impossible for us to have both the Kingdom of Heaven and this world at the same time, and so it becomes an exchange of what we have here for the promise given by God of what we can have under His care.  It really isn't a tremendously difficult choice if we truly weigh the whole thing in our mind, and yet because we want to have the control and the power this world tells us we should have...we tend to not believe God enough to make that choice.  As my Daddy used to say " The Devil's in the details", and when we read the fine print of the contract we make with this life we find we never are in charge of anything in this life either.  People may say that they want to trust self until they have to make the hard decisions that become really costly.  I don't feel that our transformation will ever be complete until we stand before the King of Kings, and have exchanged this temporary life of flesh for that of eternity.  There is every indication that we all will have eternal life...but not necessarily with God.  The great majority of us will be lost to an eternal life of torment and pain, darkness and numbing fear without any hope or any protection from the worst of things.

Some say they do not want God's interference in their lives, and that is just what they will get because God will leave them to their own abilities and powers of survival.  There will be no Godly protection or light to guide them.  We on the other hand have and will continue to have the relationships that we build with one another throughout  eternity.  The love that we develop within the body of Christ will do nothing but strengthen us to stand together in the face of this world's hatred.  We become as one as Jesus and the Father are one, and then even more we become one together with the Father as a family with God as the head supreme in love and fellowship.  This is God's ultimate goal for us...it is why we have been created in the first place.  It is why God has called this race an endurance race, and has told us that our goal is to finish the course together.  This year we are starting to work hard on those spiritual details to ensure the awakening of the Bride of Christ in this age.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
