CAUGHT UP IN DOING THINGS FOR GOD

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

It is so easy for us to get caught up in our service for God that we forget that the real service that we render to God is ourselves to be used by Him to flow His power and will through to others around us.  The very second we stop doing that God's flow and Spirit gets cut off from us.  It does not matter if we are Heavenly minded in our efforts to do something for the Kingdom or not because we are not in touch with those whom God is sending our way when we are the ones running our daily lives.

We may look on the idea of waiting to do God's will as a weak or a strong point, but that does not really matter to God because at all times we are both weak and strong.  We are all weak in some areas, and we are strong in others, but that is the point for us to become united and bonded in Christ so that we can be weak and strong together. Romans 14:1-23 is a full chapter on this single thought in that we should be accepting of the weak as well as the strong without passing any kind of judgment on disputed matters.  At the time Paul was talking about matters of what they should or should not eat according to the law of Moses, but today that same concept works for us as we disagree on so many other issues within the church.  We all have various backgrounds within our experiences in Christ, and some of us hold on to traditions very strongly.  This kind of thing brings us comfort in an otherwise very uncomfortable world.  The one thing that we all should keep in constant thought is that every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess to God.  We will al give an account in some way to our Lord.

Right now in this life we are pulling down the strongholds of the enemy all around us through our combined faith and use by God to flow into this world His love and truth. In some of the study groups I teach the book of Galatians 5: has along list of things that we should concentrate on together to assure that kind of unity.  In all of these areas some are very strong while others are very weak, but we are made that way to benefit one another. Our contact with sin and temptation in this world will effect all of us at some point, and that is the reason that we need to be close to one another.  We need one another now more than at any time in history. Ephesians 4:24 tells us to put on a new self which is created to be like God in truth righteousness and Holiness.  We are constantly changing and being renewed through one another as well...Colossians 3:10-17  tells us that we cannot allow desires to gain opportunity or position within the body to lead us into sin.  Our lives are tied eternally into the lives of all of us who have given themselves to God completely...we are to be as one.  This is something that we need to work harder on together...may you richly bless God through your life in Him.
