WHY DOES NOT GOD'S LAW WORK FOR US ANYMORE?
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Very recently I have had several encounters with the questions of WHY IS IT SO HARD TO LIVE FOR CHRIST TODAY? The answer is really very simple...men have been moving away from God more every ten years until now we hardly recognize what a real follower of Christ should be like.
The real sin that we fail to see is centered in self. Over the last two to three decades self has consumed our everyday lives by this world telling us every day that we need to be the best...we must be #1 or else nothing else matters. This concept has dominated our lives from the time we wake up until we go to sleep at night, and quite frankly we have a whole society that has been brainwashed into thinking that this is the only way to live. The problem with that idea is that it folds right back into self which is truly at the heart of sin.
The idea that Lucifer allowed to grow inside of him was that he wanted to be the ruler of everything he saw. Lucifer wanted to control and be the single source of power and dominion over all creation; and he never stopped to think that God had created him with the abilities that he had, and as powerful as he was he still was not created perfectly...he remained imperfect as compared to God. Lucifer could not create just as we cannot create but he fooled himself into thinking that he could. His intelligence was matched to no one else except for God. No matter how many things we as men discover about what God has already created we will never be able to create either...we are imperfect. God's law and His commands to keep that law are perfect in that they will continuously shed the light of truth on our condition of sin and the need for God's intervention in our lives.
We have been created as companions and to be loved and find fellowship with God. Our natural spiritual state draws us to others around us to find both unity and acceptance, and yet self destroys that unity because it excludes any opportunity to fellowship in truth, or to share with other what we have been given from God. Self builds up walls to keeps intruders out, and it blocks off any communication that is not building up self. Like today's corporations self only exists to get bigger, and more powerful but really has no ending purpose. We treat life in the same ways we treat a commodity in that we take what we need from it and give as little back as we can but that only closes us off more to the spiritual reason we were created in the first place. We become at war within ourselves because we fight with things that we cannot deal with in this physical realm. It becomes the principalities and powers that are in the spiritual places of our lives that are the most troubling to us. Who we were born into this world as is not who God has created us to be by any means, and we need desperately to seek out who we are in Christ before it is too late. We can find complete peace of mind and heart if we let go of self and of this worlds delusions about being #1. Lets look again at love...I mean real love; not the manufactured kind of love that the world has tried to shove down our throats. We need to simply and completely put God first once more and us second. We need to seek out our fellow man and love them like we love self, and for the same reasons; because they are just as important as we are. I send my own love out to all of you today in hope that you will be able to see God's love in you as well. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
