GOD INTENDS FOR YOU TO CHANGE WHO YOU ARE
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
The older I grow the more I see the need to not just teach the word of God, but to live it out. I realize that it is the power of God's Spirit within us that is actually doing any kind of ministry that we have within us, and we are merely conduits used to flow that life giving message to the lives of others.
It feels to me like I repeat myself over and over again when it comes to our purpose and ministry here in this life, but at the same time I get a sense that what I am supposed to do is keep harping on this subject until some poor soul gets the message from God that we not only can be more than we are; we have been created to be so much more than we are in our own minds and hearts. We are created to be that city that shines brightly high upon the hill; the one that cannot be hidden no matter how hard the world may try to hide us.
I don't like to think of myself as being a part of a generation that has been so ugly as to bring the existence of good in America to the brink of destruction. I don't like that any more than having to admit that on my own I have been a complete failure in trying to live the Christian life, and that the only saving grace to me is that Jesus loves me. God intends for us to go through a total reconstruction in this life, and He will do what ever He needs to do to get us there. I don't want for you to think that because you are not the smartest or the prettiest in this world that you don't have the task ahead of you to change...we all do!
Our God who loves you with all of His heart is willing to put you through what ever it may take in this life to save your life from a terrible mistake of rejecting Jesus Christ and refusing Him as your Savior. It seems to me the we miss this concept on almost every level of this life. God has only one desire in His heart and that is to save the essence of who you were created to be so that you might be eternally with Him in a trusting developing and loving relationship. He can only save us if we are willing to actually take the steps to allow change within us. This means that it is we who change to fit into God's Kingdom, and not God changing to fit into our kingdom. Unless we are somehow perfected spiritually we cannot enter into that relationship with God. We will not enter into that Kingdom until we are transformed through Christ Jesus, and it does not matter how much we may want to on our own. We are flawed as a creation because of the sin factor in our lives, and then even after we have come to Christ we still are continuously effected by the sin factor in us because we are never taken out of sin, but we are forgiven as long ask we ask for, seek after and knock on the door of a relationship with Jesus Christ alone.
Even though I may speak to you about this every week there will be some who do not take this seriously enough to actually do something about increasing that relationship with Jesus enough to become changed by His love and sacrifice. Jesus has already told us that there will be many people who will be disappointed .on that day when they hear "sorry I never knew you". It is not our knowledge about Jesus or about the Father that matters, but rather it is the personal; relationship and experience we have of Christ in our daily life that matters. God needs to know who we are from the inside of our heart outward.before He can allow us to be a complete part of His family. In the end that has a great deal of things involved with it before it becomes real either to us or to God. We must learn to trust in Him, but He also must be able to read our hearts and trust in what He sees there. I pray that we all might take this kind of message seriously. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
