GAINING WISDOM AMONG THE SPIRITUAL
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Among the most important things to the ministry of Jesus was to make contact with those who were at the time the leaders of the Synagogues. In 1 Corinthians 2: 3-7 Paul writes to the church " I came to you in weakness and in fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power. We do , however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age, or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.. No we speak of God's great secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been and that God destined for our glory before time began."
This same wisdom is what we are preaching today through this effort in blogging to try to reach those who are influences over so many others. That is very difficult to do because those who think they already know become unteachable themselves. This is a problem that has existed from the beginning of time with men and women in leadership positions. It is one of the reasons that it is so hard for those who have achieved a higher education to come to God as a small child. We feel it is beneath us to be as a small child to God whom we cannot see or touch in this physical world.
Most people have the same drive on a physical level that tells them that once they have graduated physically from one level of life it becomes a dishonor for them to have to go back to the end of the line and start over again. Many have taken the principal line from Paul's writings that says "I once thought , acted out, and lived as a child, but when I became a man I put away childish things" as being a statement that when I grow up I can never return to an infant state, but that is only as we grow physically and relating to our physical appearance, but not to our spiritual place in the Kingdom. The simple truth is that the things of God's Kingdom are not in this world or in the principals and laws of this world; they are higher than we are, and greater than anything that we can achieve in this world. That is the reason when we begin to deal with a spiritual awakening we start out from the very beginning and grow just as we do in this life. In many ways we must humble ourselves to the Kingdom and the will of God, allowing ourselves to be once again taught the principals of the Kingdom of Heaven just the same way as we began to learn the things of life here when we first were born.
The greater our achievements are in this world the more we feel we are giving up our self status in life to come to Christ, It is hard for a man who is rich in any way to become humbled in front of God. It does not matter if those riches are from education or from a physical wealth. I believe this stems from the same pride that Lucifer has had in his own created being; he sees how much He has and cannot accept that he cannot have it all and that there is still someone greater than he is.
My father always told me that we all feel pretty good about ourselves until we come up against someone who is greater, better at something ; or smarter than we are. Until then we can compare ourselves to those around us who have been lesser then we are. No matter how strong or smart we are we will always find that somewhere there exists someone who can put us to shame. It is an attitude of heart that allows us to see that before we get to sure of ourselves and get put down by someone else. Eventually we all find that person in life who we can no longer compete with. None of us can compete with perfection which is God's main character. I hope we can begin to see the need for us to find God's wisdom in the role we have been given as leaders spiritually so that we can grow through the teachings of God's Spirit and not our own mortal intelligence. May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
