LOOKING AT MANKIND

Greetings in the name of Jesus:

FROM the beginning we have tried to find our own ways around the simple truth stated within the teachings of Jesus about having and maintaining a relationship with God,

It almost seems like the more we try to study that simple truth the more we tend to mess it up because we are not using the correct perspective.  We are fairly smart as humans in many ways, and very dumb in others.  The reason for that is we are not willing to allow God's word to be the final word in the way we look at this life...even though we cannot come up with anything that truly explains life better than God's word does.  We have got to the point that we are willing to be lead around by the nose by anyone who has an idea that may sound good to us on the surface without looking at the entire content of what is being said.  We find pretty quickly when we do look at it that most of  what we hear is either an out right lie, or is incomplete in some way.  That is the reason for my taking the time to revisit some of the things that we have said that we believe because that is what we are taught *by those who know the truth".  The best way is to look directly at what Jesus taught in comparison to some of the doctrines that we have been clinging to in our life.

We are made in the image of God; but what does that really mean?  It means that our original creation was as a spiritual being just as was Lucifer's creation, but God had to know before hand what the intent of our heart was so He set us up in Garden of Eden with physical bodies that housed our spirits and limited our ability to go beyond certain boundaries.  For years I heard people preaching about a life or death situation in our choosing God, but we all have eternal life just in the same way that Satan does, but we are limited even more to this physical realm.  Our physical life span here is much less and is almost like an assembly line of life and death to God where our purpose is played out, and our decisions are made as to whom we shall serve in a very short span of time.

I want to try to do is to give us an idea of the situation we are really in.  We will live forever in a spiritual sense and our consciousness will always be active.  We will be able to sense things, and remember  our life lived here.  We will die physically at some point, but we will continue to live just as God has created us to live.  The thing that we are always missing with this scenario is where and how we will live out our eternity.  The Plan of our Salvation is designed to give us a choice as we live here and now to choose God, and start to live under the principals  and commandments of Christ; or to live for this (temporary) life we have now which does nothing but serve our base animal interests as men.  We have already been told where that style of living will lead.  As we begin to look at the basic teachings that Jesus gave us from the Good News message from God I want for us to be exposed to more about ourselves than we may have ever thought about before.  First we are created to be so much more than we can understand we are right now as we live this life.  We have tremendous value to the Father as His children, but because of the sin issue we cannot access that part of our creation until we make a committed decision about Jesus Christ.  If we do not accept both the love that God has shown and the Lordship of Jesus Christ as our Savior we will never access that understanding or any life with God. Second ; if we reject Jesus it is on us and not on the world around us or on anyone or anything in this life...it is our decision and the  consequences of that decision is our alone as well.  Let's be very clear here...Jesus died on the cross to give us a way to access God in our life.  It was to break the barrier of death and separation that had been brought about by our sin.  We still live in sin past that initial sin that caused that separation, and we must deal with that sin as well through the forgiveness and constant seeking of God in our lives.  That is why a relationship with Christ is so important.  We cannot come to God except through the forgiveness of Jesus Christ as our Savior.  We will begin to look at the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5: in the next message.  May you richly bless God through your life in Him.
