Holding on to God's values
Greetings in the name of Jesus:
Of all of the things that God values the most I believe that he values the things that he has created with in his children are among the most precious to him. I believe that that may be one of the great reasons why we have such an internal conflict and struggle with in us spiritually. We are made to love and serve our father, but we are also made to live in this world for a certain time frame. We are actually placed on earth which was created to be a heaven for us, it was to be our garden of Eden, a different place then God's dwelling place, but still a place that he could commune with his children.
This place was created to be a place of honor to God, and to be a testing ground for mankind's worthiness and desire to be a part of the fathers kingdom. The act of love out of free choice is the most powerful of all loves. It is that love that responds to crisis, and runs to comfort more quickly than any other kind of love. Even close friends may not respond, like a family love in times of real need for they do not know what to say or how to act when disasters happen. The truest kind of love is that of instant action on the part of the one loving. The soldier who has only those around him in war whom he can depend on in life and death situations will often show acts of this kind of unselfish love for another by dropping on a hand grenade or putting himself in the path of an oncoming fire fight to save another's life.
We don't seem to understand that God wants that kind of response from us as his children for their father. We don't seem to understand that God wants that kind of response from us for one another as well. We make decisions each and every day that determines the outcome of that day. We readily make decisions, which we know will show who it is we belong to. We cannot play the field to find the best one to worship at the time of convenience; we must make a decision and not turn back. For those of us lucky enough to have had people in our lives we would have given our lives for in this way it becomes easier to see the need for God's children to be trusted in this way. We are indeed in a great war even now and the souls which are at stake are our own and those whom we hold the dearest to us in this life. We have pleaded ignorance for the best part of our lives and now we have been asked"where does your treasure lie"? It is said that where your treasure is sold their old soul will be your heart. We are a people of great wealth and treasure if we will allow it to be so, but there is a price. How much do you love the father? Do you love him as much as he has loved you?
I since within me that there are many people who call themselves children of God who have not answered that question in the intent of their heart as yet. Each one of us has a common thread running through us, it is called the church. We are connected supposedly by the spirit of God. The time is upon us to make a determination to be unified by God's love. I pray that we could begin to do that today without delay, may you richly bless God through your life in him.
